What our readers think
Readers find this title to be an amazing thriller with many twists and turns. The narrators did a great job and the book kept readers guessing until the end. Some readers found the beginning slow, but the surprises and plot twists made up for it. Overall, this book is captivating, mind-blowing, and highly enjoyable. It is recommended for those who love psychological thrillers and enjoy being kept on their toes.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Alice Feeney did a damn thing with this book!!!
I didn’t see the twists coming at all or just maybe 1 but this was amazing ????. I’ll give it to her.
I love how the narrators helped with tones and all.
I also loved the interview with Alice at the end of the book. Amazing once again1 person found this helpful

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The book started quite well but despite persevering this story failed to grab my interest. To me it lacked a central strand from which characters and twists could hang.
Other reviews disagree so I’d recommend giving it a try but if like me you aren’t hooked 5 chapters, you might be best to move on.1 person found this helpful

This book will keep you guessing1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Just like all books in the "Girl on a Train" genre. Tries too hard to be suspenseful and creepy but just comes off melodramatic and confusing.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I love it, I had ao much *GASP* moments but I'm still confused lol
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The female narrator. She read rather than acted out the book. And if the male narrator was supposed to be from London why did he have a northern accent. I thought it was sloppy
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wow, twists back to back. Goodness it was good. Didn’t expect any of it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A gripping book with a few surprising twists and turns! Really enjoyed this one.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Another absolutely feenydishly fantastic book!
& with my two favourite narrators again. What a bonus!
They TRULY bring these books to life & you feel like you are living the story with them.
Spooky, chilling, & twisted.
Some parts were gothic ghost story-esque- but this is not a ghost story - not those kinds of ghosts anyway.
As usual with Alice this book has so many twists turns.
I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT see that end twist coming! OR THE NEXT ONE!
It is a rare rare day indeed when a book catches me out!
Just as i was about to get ready to press stop at the end and leave my review, there was a very special treat.
A quick interview by Alice with Richard & Stephanie- the narrators.
This was a serendipitous moment, as having always been an avid reader & having always loved reading stories aloud -always the first in school to put my hand up to read an extract or part, & then when I had children storytime was (still is even though my youngest is now 15!) an integral part of the day & of course bedtime stories each night... when I discovered audiobooks I thought "omg this is my dream job!"
Several years later I am now actually taking steps towards my dream, & what should be at the end of the book that I was listening to while only earlier that night having been sorting out the final touches of our own recording studio & editing suite with my very experienced hubs instead of having to keep hiring a space for the voice acting jobs I've been doing? That interview! Inspiring & maybe a tiny message from the big old universe for little old me? I don't know...?
Alice Feeney you are a legend. Richard & Stephanie you are fantastic & inspiring ... but Richard... those dad jokes? Lol! hubby was in bits laughing *eye roll* you two should (NEVER LOL) meet up for a drink & swap jokes!!
Anyway A++++++++++ as always.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The surprise ending elevated the book to a 5. Great read!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What a thriller! It doesn't have the biggest crime of all times BUT that didn't affect my enjoyment at all. In fact, I always enjoy Alice Feeney's books no matter what (regardless of the final score) and this has been no exception. Except, this one has been my first 5/5 without a doubt.
It keept me thinking all the time. While I was listening to the audiobook and when I wasn't. And mind you I didn't guess a single thing. But I think that's part of the fun part.
And let me tell you: THE SURPRISES, THE TURNS, THE PLOT TWIST. That's it. Mindblowing.
It had been a while since I gave a thriller such high score!
Ps. Loved that there was a character with prosopagnosia (face blindness). It was so interesting! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I could not stop listening! Such a captivating story and really loved the narrators.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Really enjoyed this novel. Loved the twists and turns didn't see any of them coming. Richards narration in particular was really good, enjoyed the female narrator too.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I think that Alice Feeney officially became my favourite author! One week and 4 books, that's just unbelievable but it's hard to put it down when you start!! ? The same as other books, this book is sucking you in twisted world, making you guess what is real and what is not, who do what is who is who... And when you think you know, you quickly realise you don't know at all.... Love it!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I couldn’t stop listening. It kept my earpods glued to my ears. Thanks
