About this audiobook
It's New Year's Eve of 1999 when four teenagers working late are attacked at a Blockbuster video store in New Jersey. Only one inexplicably survives. Police quickly identify a suspect, the boyfriend of one of the victims, who flees and is never seen again.
Fifteen years later, four more teenagers are attacked at an ice cream store in the same town, and again only one makes it out alive.
In the aftermath of the latest crime, three lives intersect: the lone survivor of the Blockbuster massacre, who is forced to relive the horrors of her tragedy; the brother of the fugitive accused, who is convinced the police have the wrong suspect; and FBI agent Sarah Keller, who must delve into the secrets of both nights to uncover the truth about the night shift murders...
'A terrific thriller, tautly written with compelling characters. I was totally hooked' PETER JAMES
'Wow, this is crime fiction at its best. Instantly immersive, pacy and propulsive, and full of surprises. Alex Finlay is the real deal, believe me' LEE CHILD

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be an awesome book that they highly recommend. The narrators did an amazing job and the audiobook read like a thrilling movie. Although some parts were slow-paced and unrealistic, the story unfolds in an interesting way that keeps readers engaged. While some characters may be cliched and unlikable, the book still manages to hold the reader's interest. The ending is described as high octane and overall, readers find this title to be quite good.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Formulaic. Not well written. Cliched. One-dimensional stock characters, all unlikable. All the usual pointless conflict and soap-level interpersonal drama. Shortly all this stuff will be written by AIs. Overall: who cares? Not me.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The characters of colour seemed a bit tokenistic- not a lot of discussion on their background, and the “heroes” were white.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Quite good! A bit drawn out in some parts and a bit unrealistic sometimes, but kept me interested throughout the book
