While not quite as good as Comanche Moon and when I started it wasn’t sure if I’d like it, it captured my attention until the end.

This is the fourth book in the series and the story of Chase Wolf, the half-Comanche son of the protagonists in the first book. Chase is embittered, neither white nor Comanche, when he's injured in a logging accident and comes home to heal. He meets Franny, his sister's friend and the town's soiled dove. Franny is sweet, forced into her job by her love of her family, who don't know but need the money she sends home.
It's a lovely story about complex topics, but Ms. Anderson deals with compassion and understanding of her characters. Chase and Franny struggle but learn to lean on each other though it takes a while. It's a good conclusion to an interesting series.

The only Cat A book I did not fall in love with immediately.
