What our readers think
Readers find this title to have a fast moving plot with unexpected twists and turns. The characters are well sketched and the main character is relatable. However, some readers were disappointed that the mystery was too obvious and lacked good clues. Overall, the book kept readers guessing and maintained their interest.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fun series, new to me. Being a 7th generation Tennessean, these Georgia characters & places feel like home. Thankfully, I haven’t dealt with a crime wave, but it definitely could have been ripped from the headlines of a small-town newspaper. I love a narrator whose Southern accent is real, without being over the top. She gave each character a perfect voice. Great writing, great performance. Moving on to the second installment now!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Twists and turns without being a dead giveaway who dunnit ;)

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Likeable protagonist and well sketched characters and setting. The mystery was at once obvious and didn’t actually have any good clues laid. Finished with a dramatic encounter with killer and “I can’t believe it was you!”
Not the style of Agatha Christie, which is what I was hoping for.1 person found this helpful
