Can you introduce yourself? I was born and raised in suburban Sydney, where I lived in the same house for twenty-five years. But since then, I’ve moved around the world. My husband and I lived in London for four years in the noughties, where our eldest child was born, then we moved home to Sydney for eight years before relocating to New York. We now live in Brooklyn. We have been here since 2015.

When did you realise you could throw together a good salad?

It all really happened by accident. I’ve been a vegetarian since I was nineteen, so I’ve always been mildly obsessed with vegetables. While I loved cooking and food growing up, I didn’t really have the time to delve into it until after I had my children. When my kids were down for their midday nap, I would pull out a cookbook and cook something delicious for dinner.
