The purpose of this research is to develop Benefits, Costs and Financial Risks (CoBeFR) model to show and measure the impact of ERP related decisions, such as degree of business process re-engineering and the level of hardware investment, on the organisational financial value (OFV).  OFV is based on current time value of money (i.e. interest rate), financial risk, and net cash flows emerged from ERP system. Financial risk, the sensitivity of the organisation net profit to changes in market conditions, is affected by organisational adoption of ERP system. The main conclusion is that there are interrelated impacts of ERP implementation decisions to the organisational financial value. Therefore, decision maker should look at the implementation decision from a new perspective, Organisational Financial Value (OFV) perspective

— Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is indeed crucial for service operations competencies in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Previous studies ascertain that ERP system improves an operational efficiency and enhance competitiveness. Though literature has indicated the importance of ERP system for enhancing a firm's operational performance, there is only a small-scale of ERP adopters in HEIs; hence ERP application in HEIs are still at an embryonic level. Indeed, only few research exists and little is known about strategic resources acquired for achieving high operations competencies and issues how ERP system, innovative technology enables a better performance. This implies that ERP system has not been perceived as an emerging innovation capability that improves operational cost and service efficiency. To enhancing such crucial understanding, this study reviews the benefits of ERPs, further identifies challenges and issues in implementing ERP system in HEIs in particular Egyptian HEIs. The research contributes to the advance of concepts and dimensions for ERP system from HEIs' standpoint and grants practical verification to defend the innovation of service operations in HEIs.

The global adoption of ERP Systems in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) has improved substantially over the past decade. Although this demand continues to grow, with HEIs now a chief target market for ERP vendors, a few studies have been published on the topic. This paper reports a sub-study of a larger research effort that leads to contribute to understanding the phenomenon of ERP adoption in Egyptian HEIs. The educational ERP of business activities in higher education goes through different modules. ERP in higher education should respond the real requirements of the education system. Enhancements or mere adaptations of legacy solutions, which stemmed from the experience in business practice, are not always successful. The current paper shows the contents of the ERP system that serve the education system successfully and describes the ERP system as an innovative technology for better higher education and hence invite Egyptian HEIs to adopt these systems. Enterprise Resource Planning systems have emerged as solutions oriented to effectively manage organization´s resources. They allowed the automation of its department's activities, making information accessible to users as needed, supporting more accurately their decision-making needs. Furthermore, the implementation of these systems has brought significant benefits to users and organizations.

Kurumsal Kaynak Planlaması Sistemleri tüm isletmeler için zor, karmasık ve maliyetli süreçlerdir. Bu zorlu sürecin çesitli asamalarının ayrı ayrı analiz edilmesi ve yönetilmesi gerekir. Bu asamalar sistemin ve sirketin analizi, yazılım seçimi, yazılımın alınması, hazırlık asaması, uygulamaya geçis, yazılımın kullanımı ve sistemin gelistirilmesidir. Isletmenin mevcut sistemden yeni yazılım sistemine geçis asaması, isin en uzun ve zahmetli süreçlerinden birisidir. Bu çalısma KP sistemlerine geçis asamasında hangi yaklasımlar olduğunu incelemek üzere sistem analizi için bir literatür çalısması olarak değerlendirilebilir. Hazırlık asaması tamamlandıktan sonra kaynak planlamasında yeni sisteme geçiste izlenmesi gereken yaklasımlar bu çalısmada incelenmeye çalısılmıstır.

Enterprise Resource Planning Systems are difficult, complex and costly processes for all businesses. This challenge process soft he various stages has to analyze and managed separately. These phase sare the system’s and company's analysis, software selection, buying software, the preparatory phase, transition to the application, using of software and system development. Transition to phase of a new software system from the current system of business is one of the work of long and laborious processes. Realizing business value and identifying the benefits arising from implementations of enterprise systems remains a significant challenge for both research and practice. A review of existing work on enterprise systems benefits reveals that current frameworks pay limited attention to contextual and temporal variations, socio-technical and business change, and levels of benefit realization. This research study investigates the complex mix of expected and realized benefits specifically arising from ERP systems. The aim is to address the limitations of current frameworks and extend theoretical understandings to provide a richer picture of ERP benefits and their contextual variation. Drawing on data gathered from more than 60 case study organizations of differing size, maturity and industry sector the study adopts an iterative content analysis to empirically derive a comprehensive benefits framework. The extended classification and the methodology used to construct it are presented and discussed along with their implications for future research and practice.

This paper presents findings from an ongoing research project to develop a framework for investigating enterprise systems benefits and business change, which addresses the identified limitations of previous research and provides a more detailed analysis of benefits and their contextual variation. Using an iterative content analysis, this preliminary study provides a classification of enterprise systems benefits. The classification, based on 32 case studies is developed into a four level framework to guide the analysis and repre- sentation of benefits. The current framework is pre- sented and illustrated by four exemplary company cases. Finally, some future applications of the framework are outlined.

Despite huge global spend on IS/IT, empirical evidence shows many of these investments do not deliver expected benefits. Benefits are realized when organizations attend to contextual factors surrounding the implementation of IT and not just its technical implementation. Culture, as a contextual factor, has been shown to have a strong influence on the way IS/IT is adopted, used and exploited. We draw from IS organizational culture studies to show how individual/group IT cultures (IT culture archetypes) offer a user-centric perspective on benefits exploitation from IS/IT investments.
