Dramatic Translation

مقالۀ حاضر با بررسی ترجمۀ پنج نمایش‌نامۀ هنریک ایبسن شامل مرغابی وحشی، جن‌زدگان، روسمرسهولم، وقتی ما مردگان سربرداریم و آیوُلف کوچولو، به قلم بهزاد قادری، می‌کوشد نقش «پژوهش» و «دراماتورژی» را در این ترجمه‌ها نشان دهد. بدین‌منظور، پس از مروری بر کردار نگارشی و پژوهشیِ مترجم، تقسیم‌بندی مشخصی در سه سطح پیرامتنیت، بینامتنیت و متنیت صورت گرفته، مصادیقِ هر یک ارائه شده و با تحلیل تفصیلی داده‌های منتخب، این دو ویژگی در ترجمه‌های قادری کندوکاو شده است. یافته‌های مقاله مبین آن است که پیرامتن را در آثار این مترجم می‌توان به سه عنصر مقدمه‌، نقد و پانویس تقسیم کرد. توسل مترجم به مناسبات بینامتنی از یک سو به‌منظور تحلیل ادبی آثار و از سوی دیگر برای معادل‌یابیِ مناسب صورت گرفته است. ارزیابی ترجمه‌های قادری در سطح متنیت نیز توفیق نسبی او در ضبطِ محاوره در رسانۀ نوشتار توأم با رویکردی متعادل و متوازن، بازآفرینیِ گوناگونی‌ بیان در دو سطح «کاربر» و «کاربرد» زبان و گرایش به ترجمه‌های اصطلاحی را نشان می‌دهد. تأکید همیشگی بر ارجحیت وجه «اجراییِ» متون نمایشیِ مقصد بر وجه ادبیِ آن‌ها نیز از دیگر ویژگی‌های ترجمه‌های قادری ا‌ست.

This article addresses monetary, cultural, political and religious transactions, exchanges, conversions and translations between Jews and non-Jews in the play, “The Merchant of Venice,” in relation with Hebrew performances of the play and their social and political contexts. The article examines Leopold Jessner’s production from 1936, Tyrone Guthrie production from 1959, Yossi Izae’li’s production from 1972, and Hanan Snir’s production from 1995 (both in Israel and in Germany). The discussion will address various facets of the complicated intercultural relations that the Merchant of Venice has come to symbolize to Hebrew speaking audiences.

The article brings arguments in favour of the ways of drama translation. Author analyses all available stage realizations of dramatic texts. On their examples distinguished a few ways of translation taking into account the translation techniques. Each of these ways was described and illustrated by relevant examples from world's stages: Polish, Russian, Czech, Canadian etc. Author draw also attention to the challenges faced by the translators.
