A Christian should NEVER be drunk and should know, but never experience his limits. The Bible describes 'too much' with terms such as 'becoming drunk', 'excess / riotous' (Strong's G810), 'filling ourselves', 'indulging', 'staggering', 'trembling'. S A Y A B O U T . . . Strong's H7941 , shêkâr, From H7937; an intoxicant, that is, intensely alcoholic liquor: strong drink, + drunkard, strong wine. Some churches do extend this rule to an overall prohibition of alcohol for their leaders, but this is adding to the Bible what is not stipulated by God.
