Acupuncture in a wider meaning like TCM is one of the not so conventional healing methods, which is currently scientifically the best-analyzed field. In European union it is officially accepted and its usage is in a different extent regulated. It is officially used in 122 world countries. (Picture. 1-2)³⁵ Basic research already today provides convincing data about the existence of acupunctural points. To some extent functions of neurotransmitters are clarified, currently approximately 40 of those that play a role in by acupuncture caused effect are identified. For years it's been known that stimulation of individual peripheral acupunctural points causes activation and deactivation of specific parts of brain³⁶. Despite that, there are still a lot of unknown questions regarding clinical effects of acupuncture. It is caused by a small amount of well-controlled, randomized, double blind experiments in this field³⁷, but Conceptual barriers are appearing. Acupuncture is hard to formulate, individual healing form, which is hard to apply on chosen groups of uniformed healing processes. Still, it is internationally known and people are in an increased amount demanding its application. Health care providers in the EU are also showing interest in this topic. Basic prerequisite for accurate usage and its effective application are rooted in regularity, education and more education on an accurate level, which for tens of years have been done by universities. Only continuing support for such education and continuing increase of the quality is the right path in accomplishing of quality education (for this purpose a good quality basis is given by the foundation

This paper focuses on Hungary, where the most unmerciful and the fastest destruction took place in the course of the European Holocaust. Even though it was indeed 'the most unmerciful‛ and ‚the fastest‛, Holocaust research still fails to take a prominent role in Hungarian historiography. The archival collections do not constitute an inherent part of the Hungarian national historical heritage. That is to say that the experiences of both the Holocaust and the Roma Genocide have not yet become part of collective knowledge; nor have they been able to shape collective identities. This paper seeks to explore this ignorance through an analysis of existing digital oral history collections on the Holocaust in Hungary. The collections will appear in the order of their creation and will be discussed on the basis of questions such as who supported the collection and for what reason, how much research was done or what results they produced; we will also address whether the collections were established for museological, educational, scientific or tourism-stimulating purposes. The paper identifies three main reasons for the ignorance: First, it argues that – after the regime changes 1989/90 – while coming to terms with the memory of Nazism and autochthonous authoritarian regimes was one of the challenges of Eastern European societies, this process was competing with and retarded by the other challenge, namely the coming to terms with the communist system. Second, it states that the status of the research on the Holocaust and on the Roma Genocide is highly influenced by the actual social, cultural and political environment, while, third, we argue that one reason is the conservative attitude of European historiography.

This is an extended presentation of my talk given 04 June 2024. I argue that the so-called 'general-factual meaning' of the Russian imperfective is misconceived and wrongly tagged. The notion of 'general fact' does not make any sense. Despite its label, the GF-IMPERF typically refers to particular events that took place in the past. Forget the theory that Russian has a special imperfective construction allegedly refering to the unique situation. The GF-IMPERF always conveys the meaning 'p occurred at least once". There is no such a thing as 'simple denotation' (a term coined by J.Forsyth), the GF-IMPERF cannot be analyzed as the absence of meaning or the negation of the perfective meaning.

Fungi are widely recognized as major biodeteriogens of both modern and historical buildings/monuments. Different fungal taxa have been isolated from cultural heritage monuments/structures depending on climatic conditions, humidity level and surface material for fungal colonization. Deterioration of such monuments by fungi is through assimilatory biochemical and nonassimilatory mechanisms. This article provides information on fungi infesting historical monuments/sites across the globe and their management by various biocidal compounds. The preventive methods and potency of various essential oils against fungal growth on cultural heritage materials are also critically reviewed. The available information supports the use of essential oils for surface treatment or vapour exposure to prevent mould infestation on heritage monuments. Essential oils may also function as fungicidal agents in biocidal formulations/coatings.
