Apresentação do conjunto de fontes e comentários sobre autores greco-latinos disponível no PERSEUS: http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/collection?collection=Perseus:collection:Greco-Roman
The article deals with the remarkable exegetical works ascribed to St John Chrysostom – the Commentary on the Prophet Isaiah (CPG 4416) partially preserved in Greek, the major part existing in Armenian translation only, and the cycle of six homilies on King Uzziah, ‘In illud: Vidi Dominum’ (Isa. 6:1) (CPG 4417). Although the Greek text of both of them was studied comprehensively by J. Dumortier and their critical edition appeared in the early 1980s, the manuscript tradition of the Oriental versions – Armenian and Syriac, which provide important textual evidence, remains uninvestigated. The article aims to examine the features of Syriac and to some extent of Armenian manuscripts, which have preserved these valuable pieces of patristic thought, and to provide a preliminary solution for some historical and philological puzzles connected with the texts.

Studia Patristica
This paper proposes to examine a passage from the Pauline epistles that occurs with great frequency in early Christian writings up to the middle of the fourth century: 1 Corinthians 2.6-9. This paper is based upon a methodology employed by the classical study of literate education – a survey of all explicit quotations of Pauline writings within our time period – applied to the wide variety of genres of extant Christian texts (school exercises, apologies, homilies, to name a few). With this survey as a basis, this paper will seek to answer the questions: for what purpose is 1 Corinthians 2.6-9 referenced over 350 times by more than 35 patristic authors? Is it being used to make the same argument across a wide range of texts—is there a community of interpretation among patristic authors who rely upon 1 Corinthians 2.6-9—or is there great diversity in its use?
The Three-Fold Thematic Scheme of the Epistle of Colossians - The primary theme of the nine church epistles is the establishment of the doctrines of the New Testament church. Each of these epistles addresses one aspect of this doctrinal foundation as their secondary theme, so that collectively, they deliver the complete doctrinal creed of the church. The secondary theme of the epistle of Colossians offers the testimony of the office and ministry of the Jesus Christ in the believer’s sanctification, namely the believer’s liberty through the lordship of Jesus Christ over the Church. The third, imperative theme of Colossians is the believer’s outward evidence of his sanctification demonstrated in allowing Christ to have preeminence in his daily lifestyle.
