The Language and the Attitude of the Christians Towards "Others" in the Second Century A.D. A large part of the Christian history is stained with blood and violence regarding other religious options. But, the humble and non-violentic beginning of the Christianity didn't announce this turn of attitude. In this article we study the second century Christian writings for analyzing the attitude they exposed towards "others". In that period "others" meant pagan religions and philosophy, Judaism and judaizing Christian cults and heretic movements. We will see that the terms used by Christians regarding "others", the attitude adopted, the action taken and the motivation developed were a natural response to the contact with ideologic competitors. For this stage of Christian history, there is no hint of what will became later a discourse of intolerance and violence.

Esse versus Habere-The Duality of Human Will 1. Man's existence for "to be" or for "to have", depends on how he understands his meaning in the world. This study aims to offer the reader an orthodox view on these two terms, in the hope that it touches the existential substance of contemporary man. When man "stole" deification, possession (of having) became an existential archetype in his physical structure. The serpent bound the soul of the primordial man to a phantasmagoria, a magical deification. The principle of possession expresses man's desire to transform the world into an object of consumption. The fundamental difference between possession and being is that things are worn out by their use, while the being exercised day by day develops to perfection. The need of transcendence, intrinsic to man, has undergone an ontological change that has found naive compensation in the field of technology. Fathers of the desert teaches us to evaluate the world through an unpassionate perception. The evangelical and patristic precepts put in contrast the desire for spiritual growth with a desire possession. This vision of detachment, gives man a sort of discernment that makes him responsible in relation to God, nature and to himself. St. John Chrysostom, recommends the desert as a pedagogical school against passions. The decision of the monks to go to the wilderness was motivated by both the desire to give up the world, possessions and honours, and to fully belong to God. In conclusion, compulsive opening to possessions and objects is mental and not spatial. The contemporary man needs to reflect on what really matters in an ephemeral world.

Rezumat: Principiul nereturnării refugiaţilor spre ţara pe care au părăsit-o şi unde nu pot sau nu doresc să revină din cauza unor ameninţări grave, este expres consacrat de Convenţia din 1951 privind statutul refugiaţilor şi a devenit o normă ius cogens a dreptului internaţional public. Întrebarea care apare frecvent este dacă acest principiu este pus în aplicare în mod real de state sau dimpotrivă, este încălcat. Practica recentă a statelor confruntate cu un număr mare de persoane care solicită acordarea statutului de refugiat sau azilant urmare a evenimentelor din Siria, în mod particular, relevă încălcarea sau ignorarea frecventă a acestui principiu. Prezenta lucrare îşi propune să realizeze o analiză a conţinutului principiului nereturnării, conform dispoziţiilor Convenţiei de la Geneva din 1951 şi a altor acte internaţionale cu care se completează, precum şi corelaţia cu noţiunea de jurisdicţie a statului căruia îi revine această obligaţie. O atenţie sporită va fi acordată identificării cazurilor de abatere de la acest principiu care ar putea justifica atragerea răspunderii internaţionale. O astfel de situaţie este cea în care statul riveran refuză accesul în apele sale teritoriale persoanelor care caută azil sau refugiu, contrar dispoziţiilor generale ale dreptului mării şi ale Pactului internaţional cu privire la drepturile civile şi politice.

During the Spring of Nations in the lands of the Crown of St. Stefan (1848-1849) traditional ties of friendship, with the possibility of a military confrontation occurring with one, two invaders attracted a large crowd of Polish volunteers for the formation of the Hungarian honveds. About 4,000 Poles were fighting directly in the ranks of the revolutionary army, and enrolled to the national legions under the command of Generals Joseph Wysocki alongside the Transylvanian Army Fieldmarshal Joseph Bem. Among them, about 20 individuals who will be later on commanders of the guerrilla armed troops of the January Uprising (1863-1864). For this reason, it is worth recalling the experience that the military group acquired during the battles for the Hungarian Plain, Slovakia, Bukovina, Moldavia, Banat, Backa and Transylvania.
