Архангельское село Лявля как место насилия: между историей и мифом, 2024

В статье рассматриваются нарративы, представления и культурные практики, бытующие в архангельском культурном пространстве и репрезентирующие внешнему наблюдателю страницы советской истории села Лявля, связанные с массовым уничтожением людей в 1920–1950-е гг. Культурная память о Лявле как месте насилия создавалась прихожанами церкви Успения Пресвятой Богородицы и руководством Архангельской епархии. Итогом их деятельности стало формирование нарратива об истории Лявли и партикуляризация памяти о жертвах насилия. Судьба современной России для акторов памяти неотделима от судьбы Православной церкви, а люди, погибшие в Лявле, предстают мучениками за веру и «героями духа». Крестные ходы по местам захоронений дают возможность их участникам легитимизировать представления об особой роли России в православном мире и об исключительности русского народа. Судьба погибших священнослужителей и мирян, по мнению мемориальных акторов, служит свидетельством уникальности русской нации и ее особой миссии по сохранению православия. В последнее время интерес к теме травматического прошлого угас. Автор показывает, как память о травматическом наследии конструируется через церемонии, мемориалы и публикации.

I first examine some issues concerning Aristotle's definition of voluntariness in Nicomachean Ethics iii, and, second, I will examine whether the outcome of this investigation can shed some light on the Eudemian chapters devoted to the same topic. I will not be interested in voluntariness as a moral notion, or in what role it plays within the Aristotelian theory of action. My main focus will be on its definition from a formal point of view. What I want to bring to light, taking it as an example, is, I think, a puzzling topic in Aristotle that can be spotted also in other areas.

ABSTRACT This project was titled “An Evaluation of the Effect of Interest Rate on the Profitability of Commercial Banks in Nigeria”, this research work attempt to find out the Effect of Interest Rate on the Profitability of Commercial Banks in Nigeria. The research work as reviewed by the writer using the references of different authors on the related topic or subject matter. All 30 questionnaires completed for the purpose of data collection were completed and returned. Data collection was presented in a tabular form, while analyses were undertaken by simple percentage from the findings. The researcher found out the effects of interest rate on the profitability of commercial banks in Nigeria to be increasing and decreasing effects. The researcher recommended that an effective policy should be made based on the fiscal and monetary policies which should be aimed at achieving a realistic interest rate for borrowers/customers and commercial banks as well. The researcher therefore concludes that commercial banks should adhere strictly to changes in interest rate because it has significant effect on the profitability of commercial banks in Nigeria.

Several room acoustic parameters have to be considered in ordinary public rooms, such as offices and classrooms, in order to present the actual conditions, thus increasing demands on the acoustic treatment. The most common acoustical treatment in ordinary rooms is a suspended absorbent ceiling. Due to the non-uniform distribution of the absorbent material, the classical diffuse field assumption is not fulfilled in such cases. Further, the sound scattering effect of non-absorbing objects such as furniture are considerable in these types of rooms. Even the directional characteristic of the sound scattering objects are of importance. The sound decay curve in rooms with absorbent ceilings often demonstrate a double slope. Thus, it is not possible to use reverberation time as room parameter as a representative standalone acoustic measure. An evaluation that captures the true room acoustical conditions therefore needs supplementary parameters. The aim of this experimental study is to show how various acoustical treatments affect reverberation time T 20 , speech clarity C 50 and sound strength G. The experiment was performed in a mock-up of a classroom. The results demonstrated how absorbers, diffusers and scattering objects influence room acoustical parameters. It is shown that to some extent the parameters can be adjusted individually by using different treatments or combination of treatments. This allows for the fine-tuning of the acoustical conditions, in order to fulfill the requirements for achieving a high-quality sound environment.
