The implementation of the "OnQ" information system by Hilton Hotels Corporation aimed to standardize and enhance its computer operations following a chaotic hardware merger after acquiring Promus Hotel Corporation. This strategic decision not only streamlined Hilton's IS infrastructure but also improved customer service and operational efficiency across its various hotel brands. By enabling effective cross-selling, Hilton garnered significant incremental revenue, positioning itself with a competitive edge in the hospitality industry.

This paper outlines the results of the most recent pan-European survey of timeshare and its owners. The paper begins by placing timeshare in context of the European leisure sector and outlining previous research on timeshare. It then goes on to examine the results of a major survey of timeshare owners and the industry. The results unveil the profile of timeshare owners in Europe, their purchasing behaviour and their future intentions; it also looks into the satisfaction of the timeshare experience. The survey demonstrates that timeshare represents a significant sector of the European accommodation market a d that in general, consumers have a high satisfaction rate with their use of timeshare.

This article enables to understand Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the context of Salutogenesis, coined by Prof. Antonovsky wherein the focus is on the origins of health and wellness consisting of Sense of Coherence (SoC) as its key concept. ASD is a neuropsychiatric developmental disorder with impairments in social, communicative, and behavioural domains. Every individual gets placed anywhere between total wellness and total illness and henceindividuals with ASD can find relevance in this context. Antonovsky's perception of life was to view chaos andchange as a normal state, in which individuals with ASD face issues. This can account to be one of the ways toexplain how SoC is impaired in individuals with ASD. There is paucity of literature when it comes to the measurement of in individuals with ASD though there are studies which have documented in parents and siblings of children with ASD. This article emphasizes the need for tools to measure the levels of in individuals with ASD which may aid in enhancing the available management approaches as well.

Ede to Akoda is a trunk B-road built over 30 years ago. It has been in despicable condition leading to fatal accidents and loss of life and properties that impacted negatively on the community. This study investigated the flexible pavement failure along the road in order to ascertain the possible causes of its failure. The methodology adopted covered reconnaissance survey, assessment of the physical condition of the road and soil investigation of subgrade. The result of reconnaissance survey revealed that the surface wearing course has degraded extensively. The physical inspections showed that considerable segment of the drainage facilities has collapsed or totally blocked allowing extensive ponding of rain water on the road surface. The pot holes were deep and widespread in most places and the road is near total collapse. The result of soil investigation revealed that natural moisture content, specific gravity, liquid limit, plastic limit, plastic index, maximum dry density and opt...

Drilling operations for oil or gas wells are very expensive. Optimizing the drilling efficiency and increasing the rate of penetration (ROP) will reduce the overall cost of the drilling operation. Different approaches are utilized to increase the drilling performance including analytical and empirical methods. However, most of the available models have some limitations once they applied for real-time drilling operations. This study presents a new approach for evaluating and improving the drilling operations for real-time applications. Seven ROP models were developed using artificial neural network (ANN) technique. The ANN models were developed using real field data (20,000 data sets) which includes the real-time recording of the surface drilling parameters such as rate of penetration (ROP), weight on bit (WOB), torque, rotation speed (RPM) and mud flow rate (Q). The ANN-based models are able to provide an accurate estimation for the full ROP profile. Thereafter, the predicted ROP was coupled with the calculated MSE in order to optimize the drilling performance. Moreover, and for the first time, a new (ROP/MSE) ratio is suggested, which can be used to assess the drilling operations in a real-time. A new profile of ROP/MSE ratio can be displayed along with the drilling parameter in order to provide a quick and more reliable evaluation for the ongoing drilling operation. The suggested ratio incorporates the impacts of the primary drilling factors which are the drilling speed (ROP) and the required drilling energy (MSE). Also, the seven ANN-based models, developed in this work, can predict the full profile of ROP with an average absolute percentage error (AAPE) of around 7.9% and a correlation coefficient of around 0.92.
