Logistics management is a supply chain management component that is used to meet customer demands through planning, control and implementation of the effective movement and storage of related information, goods and services from origin to destination. We know that shipment tracking and visibility is very important for logistics and financial interests so we offer both current and historical statuses of individual freight shipments. Updates and records from carrier partners on the status of each shipments can be maintained. Utilization of the electronics equipments will enhance the service quality and ensure faithful delivery with tracking system, so the customer and B2B industry can ensure timely and secure delivery .Features like GPS tracking –using the GPS module will keep the authorities informed about the location. The effective use of keypad password for the door opening ensures security, as the goods cannot be tampered or accessed by others. Besides air conditioning and cooling systems is attached for maintaining temperature as per the requirements of the goods. The major challenges in logistics systems are security issues and untimely delivery of goods. Thus then Logistics management system provides solutions to these common problems encountered during transport of goods. This project will enhance updated logistics system, timely and informed delivery and faithful transport.
In view of the shortcomings in information collection and tracking management in existing logistics, the key technologies of wireless sensor network and the basic concepts and methods of Information Technology Infrastructure Library(ITIL) is studied. The basic structure and main functions of the logistics tracking system based on wireless sensor network is put forward. It can effectively solve the detection, location, recognition and automatic processing of fault events and other issues of goods in the process of logistics tracking management. In addition, combined with the GIS software, the logistics tracking and monitoring system based on the wireless sensor network is realized by using Java language coding. The results show that this system can realize the tracking, visualization and automatic management of the information in the process of goods transportation. Therefore, the proposed method significantly improves the accuracy, rapidity and intuition of the logistics information management .

Logistics management is an important aspect in real-time applications. Some of the aspects like a delay in delivery, identification of freight vehicles in real time, cargo overload, misplacement is some of the issues facing logistics management. The Global Positioning System monitors the position of the cargo according to its latitude and longitude positions. The GSM/GPRS module makes the administrator's location easier. The RFID system enables cargo to be tracked and placed correctly. The Open Source hardware makes the processing and orderly management of goods in the webserver easier. If more goods are placed in the cargo, the cargo may not move or reach due to overload in the cargo at a specified time. The use of a weight sensor eliminates the overload of goods in the cargo. This system is also used for security purposes as a regular update of the location on the web server, and cargo data are updated using open source hardware in real time. Integrating IoT, RFID, GPS, GSM/GPRS as well as open source hardware results in good results. This system also eliminates dynamic updates of cargo data and delays in delivery of goods, ensures the positioning of freight vehicles and eliminates overload of cargo.
RFID systems supplies benefits like following the process of logistics better, executing inventory managing with less workers, decreasing labor costs and rate of waste, increasing costumer’s service quality and following the attitude of costumer.The wrong placement on logistic applications, errors resulting from loading and processing, errors on information are reduces by RFID technology. Despite that, the height of the value of the investment and restructuring process show those RFID investments should be considered a strategic decision for the companies. In order to ensure the success of RFID, a comprehensive analysis of assessment, the acquisitions and the costs that are required by technology investments should be examined. This study aims to develop RFID technology to be used as a 'Product-Based Tracking System'. By using the system on the logistic processes, it will be tried to resolve the problems on the existing processes and to produce added value solutions to the companies. The logistics is an important subset of supply chain management and plays a vital role for any organization. In this paper IoT based smart logistic system for various food grain and pharmaceutical industries is designed. The perishable goods like fresh food, floricultural, Pharmaceuticals and chemicals are considered as temperature sensitive sectors and required to be maintained in a specific temperature during the transportation. Therefore based on the nature of the goods, the cold chain required physical facilities to ensure the goods to be in a suitable temperature condition. To ensure security of the transported goods the containers are equipped with vibration sensors in order to detect any form of theft activities. By adapting this smart logistic system achieves live monitoring of goods from shipment to customer place at lower cost of investment. The sensor devices are connected through the internet and real time data transfer will provide an opportunity for the organization to react immediately if any changes required in the logistic process.

The cargo transport represents the largest share of logistics costs in most companies. Consequently, companies are investing in tracking and tracing systems aiming to improve services, reduce costs and ensure the safety in cargo transportation. To play a part in this area, we propose in this article SafeTrack, a model for logistics management based on geofencing algorithms and radio-frequency technology. In this approach, the focus is on dealing with delivery management. The main scientific contribution of SafeTrack is automatic delivery management. Besides dealing with deliveries without user interaction, we provide a mechanism to detect inconsistencies at real-time. Furthermore, the model monitors detours in planned routes and deals with alarms notifications using mobile devices. To provide that features, we employed Geofence concept with two solutions that enable to detect, in real-time, the occurrence of detours in planned routes. We also created a component, named SafeDuino, to control loads delivery and pickups. The decision on the occurrence of inconsistencies during the logistics flow is performed through the fusion of context information, obtained from SafeDuino and a mobile device, using radio-frequency technology. We built a complete and functional prototype, which was evaluated in a controlled environment, testing several conditions. The test scenario was executed twenty times, showing that the proposed model is capable to identify all inconsistencies along the travels. We concluded that SafeTrack improves logistics operation, optimizing decision-making, avoiding losses during the logistics flow, and also allowing companies to remain competitive in the market.

The explosion in the capability and number of applications for Wireless Data Systems (WDSs) has allowed both personal and business consumers to become better connected to the world around them. Improved fleet connectivity may result in other potential benefits to the transportation infrastructure as well as to the industry's carriers and shippers. To analyse the current WDSs used in the transportation systems, a survey was designed and distributed to some large trucking companies. This research presents an analysis of the transportation marketplace to assess current applications of WDSs and develop a framework for potential future directions of WDS implementation.
Nowadays Travel baggage safety has become the need of the hour. Monitoring and tracking are the two key parameter for any safety mechanism. Loosing the baggage in the absence of passenger's attention is increasing day-by-day. This study considers receiver's ability to act in the absence of signal from transmitter using RF communications. A micro-controller is used to process the signals from receiver. Accordingly an SMS will be send to the owner using Global system for mobile communication (GSM). The proposed methodology produced significantly favourable results.
Data logger is an electronic device used for storing measurement data. It can be used in wide range of embedded logging applications like cold chain traceability, medical lab and clean room, agriculture & greenhouse. The purpose of present paper is to design a low cost data logger prototype suitable for Cold Chain Logistics. In this case, the physical distance between the two regions is the critical factor to be considered. Since this process involves the transportation of goods over longer distance, probability of the freight can be damaged is higher in one of the complex transport operations involved. Generally cold chain logistics involves transportation of perishable goods, medical products like drugs, blood, vaccines which can have their properties affected by temperature changes. With the use of data loggers it is possible to monitor the parameter that may affect the quality of products. The proposed data logger is capable of measuring levels of Temperature (T), Humidity (H), and Carbon monoxide (CO). It is capable of alerting the user regarding the parameter changes using SMS, so that early precaution steps can be taken. The system also incorporates GPS module which enables the live tracking capability of the cargo at any point of time.

It is possible to reduce personnel, vehicle cargo security, and cost with a vehicle tracking system. Algorithm and architecture were created using open source code programs, and elements such as software, cost efficiency, personal security, efficient fleet management, and time savings were measured. In the study, it is aimed to develop the existing systems by considering the plus and minus aspects of vehicle tracking systems. It was emphasized that the system was easy to apply, and low cost and comparisons were made with the advantages and disadvantages of the system. The most critical factor in fleet management is vehicle tracking systems. In our study, the problem was studied with a mechatronic system approach, open to development, and analytical approach. The system has been developed as a modular structure that is easily integrated into existing infrastructures. With the system created, it was aimed to increase the working efficiency of the company vehicles, to provide optimum solutions for vehicle maintenance processes, and to save fuel and time, by considering the safety of the driver.
