Studia Theologica Orthodoxa Doctoralia Napocensia, 2020
In this study I started from the assumption that every human being has an existential sense which, throughout his life, is possible to pervert or even lose him. The postmodern era has become incompatible with a noble, transcendent sense of actual man. In this state of confusion, the human person needs more than ever the orientatio, that is, a clear path towards something that does not limit it to materialism and consumerism. One of the factors that positively influence the existential meaning of man is commitment (toward oneself, toward others and toward God). The Christian life has permanently demonstrated that the sense par excellence of man is the eternal life to which it can be directed with the help of a feeling of the ephemeral (world) and immortal (soul). With the loss of the soul balance, man approaches the existential emptiness. The impatient time, the overabundant activities, the sensory over stimulation, the superficiality of the relationships, predispose him to the drama of meaninglessness. Therefore, in this study we will emphasize the current human situation and possible resolutions regarding its inner recalibration. Solutions such as contemplative life, self-discovery through meditation, self-awareness through awareness of its psycho-spiritual contents, disillusionment with the world's offerings, communion with God through prayer, are as many chances of reunion with oneself and with the Source of life, from which the personal meaning of existence certainly emerges.

This article is a proposal to standardize a punctuation mark – the semicolon –, and describe the situations of use and the communication implications of the sign: prosodic, pragma-semantic and stylistic functions. The relationships between the semicolon and other punctuation marks, as well as recommendations for use in writing practice are also considered. Semicolon is less and less known and used nowadays; its use depends on the author’s preferences. Among the stylistic varieties, the semicolon is used most frequently in the scientific and argumentative style. It is recommended to use semicolon in enumerative series, especially vertically, in constructions containing parallelisms, or in long and complex statements that also contain other internal punctuation marks.

Abstract. Usually, the environmental impact of a product should be assessed during all the stages of its life cycle. In this paper, the evaluation will focus on the useful life of a product. Some products consume significant resou...

According to the ESFRI list, the European forefront research and development efforts in the field of high power (tens and hundreds of Petawatt) lasers will be focused for constructing the "Extreme Light Infrastructure" (ELI). The infrastructure will consist of 3 (later 4) pillars: in Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania. It will be the first "multi-sited" European large-scale infrastructure and also the first to be located in the new EU members in Central and Eastern Europe. Romania will host the pillar ELI-Nuclear Physics (ELI-NP). A Consortium of the 3 host countries was formed and other interested countries are expected to join. This Consortium will evolve in an European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC), a framework recently adopted by EC. At ELI-Nuclear Physics is foreseen Scientific Research at a new frontier in physics-the laser-nuclear physics frontier (www.elinp.ro). The ELI-Nuclear Physics Scientific Center will have, as major instruments, two 10 PW lasers and a very brilliant γ beam system. The goal is to employ nuclear techniques, for better understanding the laser-target interaction, and design new experiments, for exploratory studies in fundamental physics and in applied science, by using the high intensity laser field and/or a γ beam with unprecedented performances of peak brightness and bandwidth.

This paper aims at discussing some problems of the contemporary art through some of Arthur Danto’s theories. The concept of the end of art, the new way of making art, how to understand the contemporary art are some fundamental problems of nowadays art criticism. Comparisons among artistic techniques used by various avant-gardist movements, especially cubist, abstractionist and dadaist ones are intended to build a comprehensive image of the evolution in art creativity towards post-wars period represented by new contributions (Andy Warhol and Joseph Beuys). These examples prove that the contemporary art needs a more attentive interpretation and a better understanding of the material-form connection within the art work and the process of plastic creativity.

The analysis of wood flows is important for any evaluation of the sustainability of forest ressource utilisation. We have analysed the raw wood flows in Romania in 2017, starting from a consumption scenario based on the maximum installed processing capacity. The balance of timber resources considers the use of wood as raw material and the by-products (waste generated in processing), which can be used as inputs for later use in the wood processing or energy sector. Our results show that at a maximum processing capacity (hypothetical scenario), Romania's domestic consumption would be 46 million m3 per year, of which 49% is energy consumption, mostly in households. The maximum installed capacity of the manufacturing industry is 18.7 million m3. The difference between domestic production and apparent consumption reaches 23 million m3, a similar estimation to that provided by JRC Europe for 2015. Further research is needed to improve the proposed wood balance model using data as close...
Theoretical and Empirical Researches in Urban Management, 2006
Developing the knowledge-based economy has changed dramatically in the guiding forces of urban development in Europe. In conditions of globalization, the competitiveness of cities not only depends on basic infrastructureroads, energy, water and sanitation-thouse beeing forced to fight on the field of technology through the adoption of modern management structures. Thus, the provision of services at higher level becomes the main activity in cities, leading to the emergence of a new concept, the "intelligent cities".
