Our Israelitish Origin - presents a series of lectures in which he proposes the theory that the modern British people are descendants of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. Drawing on biblical genealogies, historical accounts, and linguistic parallels, Wilson argues that the British race has a direct connection to ancient Israel. The book discusses several themes: • Genealogy and Descent: Wilson traces the lineage of the British people, particularly the Anglo-Saxon and Celtic races, back to the tribes of Israel that were scattered after the Assyrian conquest. He highlights similarities in customs, language, and symbols between the ancient Israelites and the British people. • Cultural Parallels: Wilson identifies various cultural practices and institutions in Britain that he claims have their roots in ancient Israel. He explores the influence of Mosaic law on British legal systems, religious festivals, and royal symbols, suggesting a direct link to Israelite tradition. • Biblical Prophecy: Wilson argues that the rise and prominence of the British Empire fulfill specific Old Testament prophecies concerning the descendants of Israel. He interprets key biblical texts as pointing to Britain’s special place in divine history. • Etymology and Linguistics: The book explores linguistic evidence, tracing the etymology of names and places in Britain to Hebrew origins. Wilson presents these as proof of an ancient Israelite presence in the British Isles. The lectures combine theological reflection with historical investigation, aiming to prove that the modern British race is not only descended from the Israelites but also that its global role is part of God’s divine plan, as outlined in biblicalprophecy. Our Israelitish Origin is a unique contribution to 19th-century thought, seeking to explain Britain’s national identity through the lens of biblical history Table of Contents Lecture I: The Vision of Abraham • Introduction to the central theme of the Israelites and their origins in biblical prophecy. The Motion Decoupled Hydraulic Delivery System (MDHDS) is a new downhole tool delivery system that is deployed by wireline and uses drillstring pressure to advance a penetrometer (or other downhole tool) into the formation at the bottom of offshore boreholes. After hydraulic deployment of the penetrometer, it is completely decoupled from the BHA; this eliminates the adverse effects of ship heave. We tested the MDHDS at Site U1402 (the location of Site 1073, ODP Leg 174A), offshore New Jersey, during two days of ship time during Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) Expedition 342. In one deployment we emplaced a penetrometer successfully and documented that it was decoupled from drillstring movement. Based on this successful field test, the MDHDS has been certified by the U.S. Implementing Organization (USIO) for shipboard use. The MDHDS will replace the previous deployment system, the Colletted Delivery System. The MDHDS is an IODP-funded engineering development led by The University of Texas at Austin, in conjunction with the USIO and Stress Engineering Services. This sea trial was the culmination of a seven-year development effort that included extensive engineering design and fabrication.

Infection and Drug Resistance
Dengue outbreaks have been documented in Singapore since 1901, occurring almost annually in the 1960s and disproportionately affecting the paediatric population. In January 2020, virological surveillance detected a shift from DENV-2, which was the previous dominant strain, to DENV-3. As of 20 September 2022, 27,283 cases have been reported in 2022. Singapore is currently also responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, overcoming another wave of infections with 281,977 cases recorded in the past two months as of 19 September 2022. While Singapore has adopted several policies and interventions to combat dengue, primarily through environmental control but also innovations such as the Wolbachia mosquito programme, there is a need for further efforts to deal with the dual threat of dengue and COVID-19. Drawing lessons from Singapore's experience, countries facing such dual epidemics should enact clear policy responses, including establishing a multisectoral dengue action committee and action plan prior to potential outbreaks. Key indicators should be agreed upon and tracked at all healthcare levels as part of dengue surveillance and incorporated into the national health information system. Digitizing dengue monitoring systems and implementing telemedicine solutions are innovative measures that would facilitate the response to dengue in the context of restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic that hinder the detection and response to new cases. There is a need for greater international collaboration in reducing or eradicating dengue in endemic countries. Further research is also required on how best to establish integrated early warning systems and extend our knowledge of the effects of COVID-19 on dengue transmission in affected countries.
According to resource-based theory, firms gain competitive advantage and attain superior performance by holding, acquiring, and effectively using strategic assets. These assets include tangible, physical assets as well as intangible assets that have been internalized, developed and used by the firm in pursuing competitive and profitable strategies. Intangible assets are valuable, rare, non-substitutable, hard to imitate and that's why they are treated as strategic assets capable of generating sustainable competitive advantage and superior financial performance. While numerous types of intangible assets may be qualified as strategic assets, the strict application of the above criteria reduces their number to few in general, and to intellectual capital in particular. Often regarded as a fourth factor of production, beside land, labor and financial capital, intellectual capital (IC) embodies intangible value drivers and for that reason it has an increasingly important role in achieving high business performances. The purpose of this paper is to investigate empirically if intellectual capital (IC) as a strategic asset has an impact on the organizational performance as well as to identify the IC components that may be the drivers of the traditional indicators of business success. The study sought evidence from the banking sector in Serbia. Applying the VAIC methodology for IC measurement, regression models were constructed to examine the relationships between IC and the selected corporate performance measures. In general, the empirical findings of our study support hypothesis regarding positive relationship between firms IC and the chosen corporate performance measures.

By following the course of two generations, the aspects of blood, faith and heterodoxy are emphasized. The paper highlights the migrations from Portugal to Brazil, points out the alternatives employed for social integration and discusses the ways in which individuals managed the stigmas in the time of the judges of faith. Lastly, it analyzes some details of religiosity foreign to Catholicism and evaluates the possibilities of crypto-Judaism in the XVIII century.
