Imposing the principles of sustainable development on medical tourism is vital to maintaining the three pillars of a strong nation, namely, the environment, the economy, and the local community. The three research objectives of this thesis are: 1) to determine the primary factors that motivate foreign patients to travel abroad for medical services; 2) to define the role that stakeholders play for developing the medical tourism sector; and 3) to develop an implementable framework for establishing a sustainable medical facility. These objectives help lay the foundations for a medical tourism facility that would respond well to the future demands of international patients, and would remain competitive with other medical facilities in the global market while also improving local quality-of-life and remaining within ecological constraints. Therefore, this research adopts a case study methodology to examine a framework developed through the literature review to determine how it fits in reality. In addition, this research provides a starting point to define further the primary roles of the medical tourism network for developing the medical tourism sector.

Critical thinking is the mental process of actively understanding, analysing, evaluating or synthesizing an issue or information before making a judgement or making a decision or drawing a conclusion or holding onto a belief or engaging in a particular course of action. Put another way, critical thinking is the ability to think clearly and rationally. Thinking refers to conscious mental processes; and rationality refers to reasons or foundations or bases for declaring certain positions or issues to be either true or false; or to be valid or invalid. When a person is thinking critically, she does not simply follow emotion or feeling, she deliberately follows conscious thought patterns, and she seeks evidence before drawing a conclusion. Critical thinking requires knowledge of the structure of arguments and of the sources of ideas or knowledge that sits in our heads.

Backgrounds High blood pressure or hypertension is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease with high prevalence and mortality in the world. Hypertension is also known as the silent killer or killer in disguise that does not cause symptoms such as a disease. Plant materials that are empirically used to lower blood pressure is a chayote (Sechium edule Swartz). Objectives To determine the effect of chayote on decreasing the blood pressure. Research Methods This research is using a true experimental design. The subject of this research consists of twenty five people aged 18-25 years old men. The data measured is blood pressure, after and before consuming the chayote juice. The data are measured using the auscultation and palpation methods. The analysis using the "t" test with α=0,05.Research Results The average systolic blood pressure after consuming the chayote juice is 113.36mmHg; it is lower than before consuming the chayote juice which was 126.96mmHg (p<0.01), whereas the average diastolic blood pressure after consuming the chayote juice is 73.36mmHg; it is lower than before consuming the chayote juice which was 81.36mmHg (p<0,01). There are a very significant difference in decrease of blood pressure before and after drinking chayote juice. Conclusions Chayote lowers the blood pressure.

In recent years, digital media and networks have become embedded in our everyday lives, and are part of broad-based changes to how we engage in knowledge production, communication, and creative expression. Unlike the early years in the development of computers and computer-based media, digital media are now commonplace and pervasive, having been taken up by a wide range of individuals and institutions in all walks of life. Digital media have escaped the boundaries of professional and formal practice, and the academic, governmental, and industry homes that initially fostered their development. Now they have been taken up by diverse populations and non-institutionalized practices, including the peer activities of youth. Although specific forms of technology uptake are highly diverse, a generation is growing up in an era where digital media are part of the taken-for-granted social and cultural fabric of learning, play, and social communication. In 2005, The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation began a new grant-making initiative in the area of digital media and learning. An initial set of exploratory grants in the study of youth practices and the development of digital literacy programs has expanded into a major initiative spanning research, educational reform, and technology development. One component of this effort is the support of this book series. As part of the broader MacArthur Foundation initiative, this series is aimed at timely dissemination of new scholarship, fostering an interdisciplinary conversation, and archiving the best research in this emerging field. Through the course of producing the six initial volumes, the foundation convened a set of meetings to discuss the framing issues for this book series. As a result of these discussions we identified a set of shared commitments and areas of focus. Although we recognize that the terrain is being reshaped even as we seek to identify it, we see these as initial frames for the ongoing work to be put forward by this series. This book series is founded upon the working hypothesis that those immersed in new digital tools and networks are engaged in an unprecedented exploration of language, games, social interaction, problem solving, and self-directed activity that leads to diverse forms of learning. These diverse forms of learning are reflected in expressions of identity, how individuals express independence and creativity, and in their ability to learn, exercise judgment, and think systematically. The defining frame for this series is not a particular theoretical or disciplinary approach, nor is it a fixed set of topics. Rather, the series revolves around a constellation of topics investigated from multiple disciplinary and practical frames. The series as a whole looks at the relation between youth, learning, and digital media, but each book or essay might deal with only a subset of this constellation. Erecting strict topical boundaries can exclude
