The new terms of competition between organizations expose the incessant exchange of power in the business scenario. Different sectors of activity, sometimes almost suddenly, lose space and cause changes in the organizational routine that dismantle productive structures and decision-making processes built over decades. How to live in the management process with this intense expectation of changes? Exactly "what" should be prioritized? The answer begins with the perception that the speed of exchange of "concepts" is so high that the very logic of building knowledge has adopted another notion of time, that of the digital order. In this process, in which the algorithm builds an indisputable decision from the data, which knowledge management is really effective? This answer comes up against a distressing reference: which competence builds efficient operability and growing productivity in the scenario where innovative "earthquakes" endlessly recreate business landscapes? It is in this context, of solid uncertainty, about which knowledge to manage and which competence to demand, that the debate between Knowledge Management and New Competences has become the thematic axis of the articles that make up the first issue of Volume 13 of the Revista de Carreiras e Pessoa. The article that opens this edition of ReCaPe, "Empirical evidence of a theoretical model of Digital Knowledge Management, digital strategies and organizational agility", by researcher Dr. Iriane Teresa Araújo from Potiguar University and Professor Nilton S. Formiga, from Postgraduate in Business Administration and Organizational Psychology at the same institution, aims to assess how much digital knowledge management influences organizational agility by adopting digital strategies, both in public and private organizations. The starting point was the position on the digital knowledge management (GC) scale, on the digital strategy (ED) scale and on the organizational agility scale (AgO) of 295 workers, over 18 years of age, from public and private companies, who answered a questionnaire regarding the perception of these scales, including sociodemographic data, using the five-point Likert method. The background of the entire study was to investigate how and to what extent the increase in

The article presents a scheme for the transformation of knowledge with the establishment of stages of the circuit from creating an idea to its commercialization in the market. The process of transforming organizational knowledge involves changing the type of knowledge along a chain from personal to codified and competence-based to materialized. The author's scheme substantiates the key stages necessary for the most effective management of the turnover of organizational knowledge and the creation of innovations in the enterprise. The knowledge transformation scheme was the basis for the development of an organizational knowledge management algorithm. The presented knowledge management algorithm includes the creation, evaluation, adaptation, testing in practice of new/improved knowledge. The introduction of the HADIcycle at the stage of testing a new/improved knowledge in the practice of the enterprise improves the efficiency of the preparation of the finished intellectual product. Evaluation of the effectiveness of innovative projects themselves as a result of the creation of new knowledge is not the aim of the study.

Structural equations modeling has been applied in order to analyze the researc...
In turbulent business environments, the survival of firms hinges on their ability to speedily sense and react to environmental changes, which in turn leads to superior competitive positioning and improved firm performance. With the rapid development of digital technologies – such as social media platforms, smart mobile phones, cloud computing, and big data analytics – business and IT leaders are constantly exploring new opportunities that harness advances in digital technologies to transform their firms. In this paper, we investigate this phenomenon, which we call digital transformation. We draw on the organizational agility literature, IT capabilities literature, and the dynamic capabilities theory. Based on the dynamic capabilities theory and the hierarchy of capabilities, we distinguish between two types of processes: capability-building and competitive-action-generating processes. We propose that IT capability, a low-order capability, enables the higher-order capability of organizational agility, which in turn enables the firm to transform its products, processes, or business models radically. Our model also considers the important impact of leadership style on both capability-building and competitive-action-generating processes. More precisely, we argue that the process of successfully developing higher-order capabilities from lower-order capabilities is moderated by the presence of aligned transformational leadership. This paper contributes to the academic literature on IT and business strategy by determining why business organizations pursue and how they can achieve digitally enabled business transformations. Our theory extends the adopted overarching theory, the dynamic capabilities theory, by considering the influence of leadership style on both capability-building and competitive-action-generating processes. The paper provides important practical insights for business and IT leaders regarding how to build and utilize IT capabilities to generate competitive actions that contribute to success in turbulent business environments.
