Hope

Hello, everyone!  It's time for a new challenge from the Creative Moments Challenge blog.  The theme is: Winter Blues.  We do not have a sponsor for this challenge, but there will be a prize of some crafty goodies!!

 Here is my card:
I'm still working on busting up my stash of sample commercial Christmas cards, so for this challenge I went looking for one with a lot of blue in it.  I die cut the image with a stitched rectangle die and matted it on silver before adding it to a dark blue card base.  The letter stickers have been hanging around since my oldest daughter was born (almost 19 years ago!!  I know this because I bought them to use on a scrapbook I thought I was going to make for her, ha, ha!!)  I've used a few of the letters recently, but unfortunately I don't have the correct letters to make many useful words.  "Hope" seemed to work for this Christmas scene.  The die cut snowflake border along the bottom was one of many that s sweet fellow crafter had sent to me many, many, many years ago!  I think I have two left, so I will work on trying to use them up as well.  I added two chrome rhinestones in the upper right corner, which finished of that sheet of gems!  I feel quite accomplished with this card.  😂

You have all month to play along.  So, get inky and link up your creation; I can't wait to see what you create!

Peaceful Christmas

Happy Friday!!!  It's time for a new challenge from the Cut It Up Challenge Blog.  This week, the challenge is: Something New

Here is my card for your inspiration:
I'm still working on recycling some sample commercial Christmas cards.  This one had a soft, peaceful scene; I really love the soft colors, they seem very serene.  I die cut the image using a brand new die set that I just got from Amazon.  I had a gift card left from my birthday, so I decided to buy myself some new beauty products and, or course, some crafty goodies.  The ribbon and the snowflakes were in my bits and pieces stash.  I'm going to try to be better about consciously using that up this year.  I added some clear gems and it was done!  I actually even stamped a sentiment on the inside so it is ready to go come Christmas time.  Usually I leave it blank and then it is just one more hurdle to overcome when thinking about sending cards out.  Maybe that will be another one of my goals this year: inside sentiments stamped at the time of the card being made.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you will hop over to the Cut It Up blog for the full details of the challenge and to see what the rest of the Design Team has created.

Supplies:
Dies: Unbranded die; MFT "Blueprints 13" stitched rectangle
Martha Stewart snowflake punch

Challenges:

Winter hello

Happy January 1st!!  It's time for a new challenge on the Critter Crazy Challenge blog!  As always, it is a month long challenge: Anything Goes as long as you feature a creature.  Here is my card for your inspiration:

I have a little basket with several sample commercial Christmas cards and cards we received in the mail last Christmas that were just too pretty to throw away.  So, I've slowly been working on upcycling them into new cards to send.  This sweet owl was on one of the sample cards and I thought he would make a wonderful winter card.  So, I die cut the image with a stitched rectangle die, tied some ribbon around it, added a punched tag with a winter greeting and three die cut snowflakes before adhering it to the card base.  Nice and simple, and pretty quick, too!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hop on over to the Critter Crazy blog and check out the details and the rest of the projects from the Design Team.
