Retirement Village
Note that retirement villages cannot in any way be regarded either as a retirement home or a social facility. In particular they are not shared living spaces. They are effectively a particular type of residential area with some shared (paid for) facilities. It is not uncommon for similar residential facilities to exist without age limits. Another common form of age-related residential areas is known as sheltered housing in the UK. These may, or may not, have some shared facilities and probably have some warden, concierge, caretaker as well; but once again they are not social facilties. In particular retirement villages in the UK will be leasehold properties with the leasehold owned by the residents and a monthly/annual facilties charge. SK53 (talk) 13:41, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
