All week I've been obsessing over beautiful patterns and it would seem that today is no exception!  Bold patterns in a monochromatic palette are the current focus of my adoration... (a lace patterned floor - now who could resist that!).

Saturday Morning Stuff

I wouldn't trade my Saturday morning inspiration time for anything!  I make a pot of tea, light a candle and sit myself down at my desk to traul through magazines and websites.... this brief little window of opportunity can keep me going all week!  Here are some images that caught my eye this morning...

Lost & Found

I rediscovered Venucci Design today - hooray!  I really can't believe I had forgotten about them.  They are a QLD based company with some fantastic, quirky product (hidden in amongst some slightly questionable product).  I have used their accessories to great effect in a number of displays and love their distinctly European flavour!  (the deer plate is my fave)

New Addition to the Family

My beautiful work friends gave me these amazing vintage scales as a leaving present... I am so enraptured with them I keep trying to weigh things (my mobile phone weighs 4 oz).  I have searched high and low for scales for years... I still can't believe I now own the perfect set!

South African Style

I love the understated and classic elegance of the interior of Le Franschhoek Hotel in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.  I think I could handle staying here for a few days!

The Amazing Carolyn Quartermaine

When I was living in London in 2003, I discovered the ethereal and colourful work of Carolyn Quartermaine  and have remained a fan ever since... she is an artist, designer and stylist who was HUGE back in the day but I still love her fabric collections... see what I mean!

The term 'eclectic' is often over-used when describing interiors but I thought this home was a fantastic example of what the Oxford Dictionary defines it as..... 'taking ideas from a wide range of sources'.
