The loss of market value was largest for the banks most strongly involved in tax evasion and zero for banks with no known ties to tax evasion. Subsequent leaks had qualitatively similar although smaller effects. Our findings suggest that whistleblowing in tax haven banks deters offshore tax evaders by increasing the perceived risk of committing and assisting with tax evasion.

In order to trace out the political inequality of Dalit and to generalize the findings, both primary and secondary qualitative data have been interpreted and analyzed. The key informant interview method was employed to explore the experiences of Dalit on the current political inequality, identity debates, and representation. It was found that deeply rooted caste hierarchy and discrimination practices are underlying detrimental factors for the depleted socio-economic, educational, and political status of Dalit in Nepal. The conception of Dalit as a common identity, although contested among Dalit, is only a short-term strategy to unite them against all forms of injustice including caste based discrimination, and to achieve equality. In order to trace out the political inequality of Dalit and to generalize the findings, both primary and secondary qualitative data have been interpreted and analyzed. The key informant interview method was employed to explore the experiences of Dalit on the current political inequality, identity debates, and representation. It was found that deeply rooted caste hierarchy and discrimination practices are underlying detrimental factors for the depleted socioeconomic , educational, and political status of Dalit in Nepal. The conception of Dalit as a common identity, although contested among Dalit, is only a short-term strategy to unite them against all forms of injustice including caste based discrimination, and to achieve equality. It can be concluded that special political representation measures, such as proportional representation (PR), are one of the major institutional reforms for achieving social justice for Dalit in Nepal.

I argue that admitting identity-based federal states is an essential factor for the timely writing of a new constitution and its sustainability. The first constituent assembly (CA) was perceived as an important means for addressing the demands of ethnic minorities; however, it failed to write a new constitution. The discrepancies among political parties on the federal structure and forms of governance, including other constitutional issues, were primary factors for the CA failure. A key contested element in this discourse was the use of ethnic single identity vs. multiple identities as the primary basis to structure the federal states. The challenge of identity discourse is still surmounted for the second CA that likely has an impact on the constitution-writing process. This process requires a broader political consensus on state restructuring, particularly recognizing the identity of ethnic minorities, and redistributing state power and resources to the disadvantaged groups like the Dalit.

It explores the links between identity politics, Dalit struggle and Dalit rights although Dalit identity is contested within the group.
The author explores the types of institutional measures that would be required to achieve social justice for Dalit in Nepal and analyses the underlying causes and nature of of the deeply entrenched social, economic, education and political inequality manifested in the life cycle of Dalit. The book examines contemporary political transformations, including state restructuring and federalism processes, and explores different models for federalism by a variety of experts in detail; this is done with a view to making specific findings on the required institutional reform measures for the improvement of Dalit inclusion and representation in state mechanisms and policies. This book contributes to the literature on the caste and Dalit discourse by proposing that hegemonic caste structure is deeply entrenched which needs to be deracinated by asserting unified group politics of recognition in Nepal.
Political Transformations in Nepal will be of interest to academics working on South Asian Politics, Identity politics and Asian social policy.

In my presentation, I argued about 'misleading development approach of Nepal and needs of shifting into productivity based rather than remittance and consumption based development. Inclusive development is fundamental for Nepal's development for that we need "Caste Development Index (CDI)" and off course "Gross National Happiness Index (GNHI)" for measuring the progress.
