Snow bunny

I love it when it snows! It is also the perfect weather to pile on all of my favorite furry gear. I am particularly in love with my new French Connection leopard print jacket which, at £120, is a fantastic bargain. I'm wearing it with a stripy jumper for that perfect clash look.

Brrrrrrrrrrr

Today it is absolutely freezing so I'm all cosy in my vintage fur coat, denim and Uniqlo cashmere. My secret weapon is Heat Tech Uniqlo undergarment body warmers. I wear leggigns and tops under everything I wear throughout the winter. Saviours..

City comfort

Some days I know I'm going to be running around town all day and I'll just want to be warm and comfortable throughout the day. Flat boots and a statement coat do the trick and that's exactly what I'm rocking today. Simple, chic yet warm and comfortable.

A WIT first..

During press days last week, I did a short interview with the lovely Rachel from the Dorothy Perkins press office to chat about their SS collection. It was one of the best high street shows I've seen so far and I'm really excited about the product I've called in for my RED March pages.  Waiting for the issue to be out, here's the link to the video, which is a first for WIT as I have a voice for the very first time! I hope you enjoy it.

What I wore at the week end..

Since I'm at home and not very well today, I thought I would post a pic of what I wore at the week end. I went to a fabulous wedding of two great friends of mine and wore a Capucci dress from the 1970's. I found it in my mother's wardrobe before the summer and had it altered so it would fit me. I put my hair up in a simple chignon with a diamante feather in the hair.
I will post better pics later on, but anything is better than what Im wearing today...

Friday's off and shopping time

Ever wondered what a fashion editor's working week is like? This week I am making the most of my IPhone and posting a photo from out and about.

Today I took a day off to take my mum shopping  and also for some pre wedding party beauty treatments. I am going to one of my favorite spa's in London, Beauty Works West, to get a state of the art mani and pedi to go with my scarlet dress tomorrow evening... but on the way I had to stop at DVF and try this dreamy dress!

Thursday's working breakfast

Ever wondered what a fashion editor's working week is like? This week I am making the most of my IPhone and posting a photo from out and about.

Business men have working dinners, whilst us fashion girls have working breakfasts. Today I am starting the day in front of a croissant, talking work (and a little chat) with the lovely Boden pr girls. Here's a pic from one of my favorite London hot spots, Truc Vert.

Wednesday's press days craze

Ever wondered what a fashion editor's working week is like? This week I am making the most of my IPhone and posting a photo from out and about.

Today I am going to lots of press days and I need to be warm, comfortable yet stylish.  Here I am at the lovely HOBBS S/S viewing. The colours of the collection are the perfect backdrop for today's "out and about" pic where I am wearing a Top Shop late night buy from last nighty. I love this floral print midi dress which I am wearing with thigh high leather boots and biker jacket.

Ever wondered what a fashion editor's working week is like? This week I am making the most of my IPhone and posting a photo from out and about.

Today I am making a special announcement because after two and a half years, first as Acting Shopping Editor then as Contributing Fashion Editor, I've been offered and accepted a permanent position at Red magazine to be their new Fashion & Shopping Editor. I am absolutely thrilled to call this job my own and, with the help of the amazing Red team,  I'll be heading a total revamp of what's about to be the fastest, smartest and juiciest shopping section in the industry. Look out for the March Issue...

My favorite COATS day five: The Pop of Colour

Last day of the countdown to my favorite, essential winter coats and finishing off with a pop of colour. This could be any colour that suits your colourings and complexion, for me it's this scarlet number. Next season it's all about bright colours, so I've invested in one now but I'll be wearing it later too.

My favorite COATS day four: A Great Print

Day four of my favorite five essentials winter coats and i'm onto a wardrobe jolly: the great print. Think of this is something fun and glamorous that instantly dresses up a simple jeans look and acts as "dressed-up outerwear." It works particularly well on days like this, where I am out and about all day and I virtually never take my coat off. I love leopard print, it never goes out of style and I know I will never tire of this versatile grey and black number.

My favorite COATS day three: The Statement Wower

Continuining my winter coat lowdown and onto the next category: the statement wower. This is the make-me-feel-fabulous coat, the one that you slip on and instantly makes you feel amazing. For me it's this vintage fur coat that I found in a market for £5! It was falling apart when I first bought it but a little tailor love brought it back to life. Fur, real or fake, is not for everyone so your statement wower could be an embellished or metallic number.

My favorite COATS day two: The Parka

Continuing this week's overview of the 5 winter coat essentials, today is all about the "sporty staple". A parka  is the perfect combination of urban and chic,  my tip is to cinch in the waist with  different style belts and shop for it on the high street that has amazing styles ( my favorites would be Top Shop, Gap, Asos, Zara..)

My favorite COATS day one: The Classic

Given the weather, I've decided that this week is time to talk winter COATS. So what are the 5 essentials every owman should have?  If I had to make a choice, I think a coat for everyone of these categories could take us through the winter in perfect style:

A great classic
A sporty staple
A statement wower
A pop of colour
A great print

I am starting with a great classic and to me it's the camel coat. Ageless, timeless and tres tres chic. Alternatively it could be a great black or grey coat- this category is all about luxe fabrics and perfect cut, so I don't cut corners on The Great Calssic. and think of it as the investment coat.
Log on tomorrow for the next coat..

Early week end

I know it's only friday, but I've had a long busy week and I'm sooo ready for a dress down day. My week end uniform consists of skinny cropped jeans, cashmere jumpers, leather  trainers or biker boots if it's rainy and a classic pea coat or parka. To finish off, I love a small, hands-free bag to wear across the body and to carry as little as possible.

Pretty ribbon

It's no secret that I'm a bit of a magpie and that my favorite stylist trick, is to add a sparkly bit of jewelery  to  my outfit. I love my Prada bib ribbon necklace and today I thought I would look through  the internet for some of my favorite bits of bling! I know one Red team member will particularly like this post... you know who you are!

Furry gilet

There are lots of fun fur gilets in the shops that add a bit of va va voom to any old outfit.  Black is a sure bet and today I am wearing a Joseph number that they do every year. It's pricey so I found two great high street alternatives from Top Shop and Boden. The question now is.. cash or cheque?
