In Oslo the the 2024 Champions Chess Tour Finals Round-Robin is still underway. Yesterday, “Puer” beat Magnus. I am ready to root for Magnus’ opponents most of the time, but this is an exception. I’m mostly sad that my guy Wesley had a rough time of it. First, he absolutely had Magnus against the wall. Yesterday, well. He is fighting but he could be mathematically eliminated. He can be a spoiler, of course. Today is the last day. Wesley v. MVL. Magnus v. Denis the Menace.

Love the presepio shots. We have one from Christmas Alley in Napoli – I love the Neapolitan way of all the “noise” and you try to find the Holy Family somewhere quiet in the scenes.

As for the blessing – what in the HELL was that? And what is with the hands on the heads of those up front? I’m sure there is some logical explanation for that garbage….maybe Tucco can shed light on it from his perch?
