For instance, most populations wake up everyday to work. The purpose of working has been identified as making money to earn a living. In the recent past however, it has been important to consider the various ways in which working impacts on the lives of different people. This reflection will evaluate the purpose of working as the satisfaction of needs, changing modes of production from use to that of profit making. In addition, the purpose of work as will be discussed involves Agrarian, industrial and post-industrial work societies and some examples of OECD data. In the economic sense of the term, it is important to look at the different ways in which work has impacted on the individual and on the community, they live in.
