Katja Sirviö
I am a determined and multi-skilled Doctor of Science in Technology focusing on energy transition in electricity distribution networks. In energy system transition, I consider it very important to build up shared understanding and collaboration between different disciplines, fields of industry and stakeholders. My work experience relates to i) academic research and scientific testing [digital twin, HIL], ii) industrial RDI, and iii) electrical planning, installations and management of electrification projects, which gives me a broad perspective on the subjects of RDI and the implementation of the solutions. My current interest relates to the socio-technical-economic aspects of the solutions for future energy systems, especially for Smart Grids and microgrids. I am attracted to multidisciplinary roadmapping work and considering different levels of energy system concepts and various stakeholders/actors. I am interested in accelerating the RDI process and the successful implementation of new solutions. How to develop successful solutions, niche experiments and further establish them as new practices? I received my PhD (2021) in “The Evolution and Active Management of the Future Electricity Distribution Networks Providing Ancillary Services”, which explains these previously mentioned points of interest.https://www.uwasa.fi/en/newshub/news/dissertation-joint-roadmaps-and-research-development-and-innovation-platforms-advance
