The site, besides providing interesting artefacts of the chalcolithic, Early Historic and mediaeval periods, has also yielded evidences of continuous habitation characterized with huge amount of ceramics. This paper attempts to provide a description of the ceramic assemblage of the different cultural periods evidenced at the site. This ceramic study has been undertaken with greater emphasis on the typological study of the different wares and also keeping in mind the geoarchaeological perspective through which the site has been studied.

This region had been a culturally peripheral region and the aim was to understand the aim was to understand the 'unremarkable' sites and the role they played in that ecology.
