Big trip to Ukraine.

This is a short story about a big trip for me and my family in our country Ukraine. We drove 2300 miles, visited 5 cities, 4 castle, 2 waterfalls, mountains, canyon, cave and found a lot of friends.
It was wonderful! :)

Wreath of poppies in the process.

Do not think that I left the weaving of wire. Just sometimes I deal with another favorite activity - produces hair ornaments for my daughter. Tomorrow we have a holiday last bell at school. Svetlana goes in the national Ukrainian costume in a wreath of poppies. So all morning I carefully made it.

Ukraine is a big cleaning.

Today my daughter and I attended a cleaning nearest park - Birchwood. We met many nice people.  The weather was cold, but no rain. We had a good fitness - all while crouching, leaning, and climbed through the bushes. Ha-ha! 
 I never thought that people can create so much garbage in such a short period of time. It was a good lesson for me. We sorted trash. Everything that can be recycled - must be recycled.
There still remains a lot of trash and we will clean again.
Daughter found a large coil. She thought it was a dumbbell. And I found a TV in parts. Lacked only console. )))

 

Wire Easter egg

  There is an ancient tradition - to paint Easter eggs in Ukraine. As a child, I often did it with my mother and sister. We did "pysanka" - painted patterns molten wax, then dipped in egg onion peel.  Obtained orange egg with white pattern.
  It was a very enjoyable craft - we sat by candlelight family, were calm and unhurried conversations became closer to each other.  I love spring holiday of Easter. I myself bake festive bread for this day and decorate the eggs with his little daughter.
  But today I'll show you an egg that I made from a copper wire. I used Swarovski beads of sky-blue and ivory color. This colors very well with copper and symbolize spring sky. This egg is the size of typical chicken eggs, but I want to try to do even bigger.

Chernigiv - is a most peaceful place in the world

This is my hometown Chernigiv now. :)
I'm posting these pictures to the whole world saw how beautiful my city. Because we are Ukrainians, we are very peaceful nation and we do not want war and do not want to Russia. 

Nobody will be able to harness the unicorn!

Today I finished a new Wire sculpture. This is my response to Mr Putin: I want to live in a free country and will not tolerate the occupation! 

Unicorn - a symbol of strength, wisdom, unity and chastity. I made ​​this sculpture 3 days of copper wire and filmed the process on video.
I took the heart from the moonstone for my Unicorn - clean and strong, like tears.

The key of Spring

   There is goddess Lelya in Slavic mythology - the goddess of spring and fertility. And yet it is the patroness of young children. Even now, we often call babies "Lyalya". Thus, we urge the blessing of the goddess Lely. 

   This character of a young goddess, who brings love and joy of the earth, is very impressive. I think she wore a small silver key to unlock them the rainbow and young leaves.

   Lelya was the daughter of the mother goddess Lada. Together they were called goddesses Rozhanits. They were the epitome of the female essence of man and nature, the embodiment of peace, fertility and birth. 

But once the evil goddess Morana kidnapped Sun and Lelya - hid them in an ice cave. Then reigned eternal night and winter on earth . 

   Thunder god Perun, husband Lelya, saved her - with golden lightning broke the power of Morana and returned the warm to people . 

Spring will come again soon and we'll all be glad and rejoice when we hear the first thunder
