Estudios Socio-Juridicos
Estudios Socio-Jurídicos was published for the first time in 1999. It is a semiannual publication of the Faculty of Jurisprudence of Universidad del Rosario –Colombia, and it currently has an Editor, an Editorial Committee and a Scientific Committee to ensure the relevance and quality of the articles that are published. It receives research, reflection and review articles in three (3) languages: Spanish, English and Portuguese.
The journal is a peer-reviewed publication ("double-blind " review process) that presents to the academic community and society in general the results of research in areas such as legal theory, legal sociology, legal anthropology and the traditional areas of the field of law (public law, private law, criminal law, human rights, international law) from a cross-disciplinary perspective. As part of their thematic collection the journal has published special Issues like: Transitional justice: Collective memory; victims reparation; justice and democracy; economic, social and cultural rights; law, society and the constitution; twenty years of the Colombian National Constitution; violence and justice; socio-legal perspectives; public safety; land; war and State; peace processes; duties of the states and the rights of victims; violence, gender and discrimination.
The objective of the publication is to contribute to the development and dissemination of research in these areas, with emphasis on observation and analysis of the Latin American reality as the primary focus, without ruling out contributions from other regions. https://revistas.urosario.edu.co/index.php/sociojuridicos/index

Washington hacía su entrada al puerto de Nueva York. En él, un médico
austriaco de origen judío que visitaba por primera vez Estados Unidos
para hablar sobre un reciente método para el tratamiento de la histeria
y otras patologías mentales a través del uso de la palabra, haciendo
un gesto en alusión a la Estatua de la Libertad le decía a su discípulo
las siguientes palabras: “No saben que les traemos la peste” (Lacan, 2009,
p. 381). Este médico, llamado Sigmund Freud, había logrado desentrañar
las implicaciones que a todos los niveles de la vida humana supone el
descubrimiento del inconsciente, enseñanzas que transitaron un ambivalente
camino entre el hermetismo propio de un corpus teórico exclusivo
para iniciados, muy próximo a esa tradición mística del circulo de safed,
y un discurso abierto vinculado a una dimensión técnica adscrita a los
amplios públicos universitarios.
