Current trends in the field of manufacturing systems are mostly connected to the transfer of tech... more Current trends in the field of manufacturing systems are mostly connected to the transfer of technical solutions specific to large manufacturing series toward small and medium manufacturing series. Our researches presented in this paper study thoroughly and expand the concept of modularization of multi-tool processing devices in order to obtain a high level of productivity and flexibility of the technological system, as well as a significant decrease of the adaptation costs. To this end, we elaborated and used computing methods, mathematical models, optimizing algorithms and original constructive solutions to develop new modular structures meant to optimize the construction and configuration of adjustable multi-spindle ends. The important characteristic of modern technological engineering is the systemic approach through... more The important characteristic of modern technological engineering is the systemic approach through unification and typification of problems related to production processes and equipment. The multi-criterial analysis of solutions and connections is difficult under the conditions in which the accelerated generalization of technological innovation determines sometimes an exaggerated diversification of constructive variants. Our researches, presented in this paper, provide original solutions for the development and organisation of modular structures in a computerized data base, the elaboration and use of a new method to automatically configure and reconfigure them using a computer programme. In this way we obtained the optimal variant to construct and operate completely modularized adjustable multi-spindle ends.

Multi-criteria optimization of the technological system is determined by the complexity and dynamic character of its components, laying emphasis on its ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to the variety of the production tasks. In our research we have developed and used mathematical models and optimization algorithms to design new structures and components for device, equipment and machine-tool construction and modernization. The systematic analysis of the optimization problems involved in the technological process and equipment is required by the need to highlight the multitude of factors and their interdependence with a view to establishing rational solutions in the field of manufacturing engineering. The optimization methods presented in this paper, from the optimization of blank surface orientation and clamping, the optimization of orientation and clamping device construction, the optimization of new structure development to the method of automatic generation of the manufacturing equipment structures are important steps in the complex optimization of the technological processes. As a systematic and objective approach of this paper, we have defined a general graph to describe the structures of the manufacturing equipment and an associated mathematical model used to optimize them.

Within the mechanical engineering, the modernization of the production processes and equipments pressumes the optimalization to obtain raw materials, new processing methods, the realization of devices, tools, equipments and performance machines with high accuracy and productivity obtained within of some fabrication complexe systems which can be configurate and reconfigurate easily depending on the production target characteristics. The modern industry characterized by the assimilation of new products in a sustained rhythm involves to find some solutions to realize the parts with forms, complex functions but and with high accuracy, which to allow the utilization of the mathematical modelling as a body and system generation method for mechanical constructions. The method proposed starts from the concept that the geometrical primitives (straight line segment, circles, polygons, conics, cube, parallelepiped etc.) are those base elements which the programme written in VB (Visual Basic) can use its to realize the drawings necessarily to some technical applications. The realization of these applications are based on connexion between the primitive bodies described by specific equations, using the theory of contact transformations and booleene operations, but in the case of the devices and equipment construction was solved the structures emplacement on the base plate using a configuration algorithm.
