Sigal Barsade
Sigal Goland Barsade is the Joseph Frank Bernstein Professor at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on emotions in organizations, including topics such as models of group emotion, emotional contagion, emotional culture, emotional intelligence, affect and performance, loneliness, affective diversity, as well as general issues of organizational culture, diversity and unconscious bias. She is an elected Fellow of the Academy of Management and the Association for Psychological Science, as well as the Society for Organizational Behavior. Her research has been published in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Organization Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Psychological Science and the Strategic Management Journal. She received her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Industrial Relations from UC Berkeley.
