A model explaining the impact of different factors on online shopping intentions and behavior is developed based on the Theory of Planned Behavior. The model is then tested empirically in a longitudinal study with two surveys. Data collected from 705 consumers indicate that subjective norms, attitude, and beliefs concerning the consequences of online shopping have significant effects on consumers' intentions to buy online. Behavioral control and intentions significantly influenced online shopping behavior. The results also provide strong support for the positive effects of personal innovativeness on attitude and intentions to shop online. The implications of the findings for theory and practice are discussed.

In this paper, we propose an approach for integrating decision support and knowledge management processes using knowledge discovery techniques. Based on the proposed approach, an integrative framework is presented for building enterprise decision support environments using model marts and model warehouses as repositories for knowledge obtained through various conversions. This framework is expected to guide further research on the development of the next generation decision support environments. D

These Web-learning environments have made learning much more convenient by stretching the spatial and temporal barriers. Their effectiveness, however, remains to be examined. In this research, the authors study the relative effectiveness of two different types of Web-learning environments: distributed passive learning (DPL) versus distributed interactive learning (DIL) environments. In the DPL environment, the Web is only used to deliver linear learning material, such as Word files and PowerPoint slides. In the DIL environment, however, the learning material is in hypertext format, providing the learner with more exploration and interactivity capabilities. The results of an empirical study show that the DIL environment is superior to the DPL environment in terms of both the learning process and the learning outcome.

Are such hopes justified? In this study, we address this question. More specifically, we develop and empirically test a model for explaining the role of exposure to mobile technology in the adoption of mobile commerce. The proposed model extends well-established behavioral theories with new constructs representing various forms of exposure, i.e., trial, communication and observation. The empirical results show significant both indirect (mediated by other constructs) and moderating effects of exposure on the intention of adopting mobile commerce.

More specifically, we investigate the Ž . effect of hypertext on individual learning and the effect of group support systems GSS on collaborative learning. We propose and empirically test two models explaining these effects. The first model stipulates that hypertext can support knowledge construction by facilitating the transition from declarative knowledge to structural knowledge. The second model stipulates that GSS enhance knowledge construction by supporting the active participation and cooperation attributes of effective learning. Based on concept mapping techniques, the empirical results confirm predictions of both models. q
