The research questions refer to the investigation of (1) the impressions and opinions of the Cultural Heritage Entrepreneurship program participants about their experience in the respective program; (2) the business sectors that they had suggested to develop a Cultural Heritage Business as teacher trainees; and (3) the innovative educational methods which they suggest for a respective initiative. For this reason, we conducted interviews with a sample of 45 Teacher Education Program graduates from Athens University of Economics and Business. We used the qualitative type of research. Key findings of our study are the positive assessment of the experience of the “Education, Entrepreneurship and
Cultural Heritage” initiative and the plethora of innovative business sectors that could be used to develop the region of Elefsina, a Greek region with a deep culture and history. Finally, we drew some opinions concerning introducing a respective program in high schools. Through this study, we emphasize the importance of Cultural Heritage Entrepreneurship and bring to the forefront future teachers’ positive beliefs about introducing similar initiatives at schools.

The co-formation of a new artistic imprint in terms of “social” sculpture including as mediums the notion of speech, the human being, as well as the dynamic of expression and the individual and collective memory, under the shell of the public open space. The purpose of the social sculpture is not only to condense the speech within the material but also the transcendentalism of abstract thought aiming at an optical comprehension of values — mainly of experiences and emotions of a productive generation: that of Patras in recent times. It is an artistic intervention in the city from a different perspective — both artistically and in terms of research — which has nothing to do with that of mere compilation, citation and presentation of material documentation but it is connected — through its reference — with the sphere of the intangible such as the oral speech. This is an account of stories whose target is to activate critical thought, emotional charge and social reinforcement.

The 2018 YOCOCU conference at Matera (Italy) has been conceived as a forum to promote dialogues and partnerships between scientists, conservators and managers, on one hand, and civic and community non-governmental organizations, on the other.
The common ground which museology and education have reached, based on the theory of constructivism, has recently given a new perspective on the cultural education. The use and reuse of cultural heritage in education as a crucial cognitive tool highlighted the need to update the ways in which educators cooperate with the professionals of the museum and also the ways in which young students perceive the cultural heritage. In other words in a highly demanding world, museums and educators have to find new, more challenging paths in order to satisfy their young audience. The following paragraphs aim to highlight the effectiveness of the projects and to set a good practice on the cooperation of cultural and educational institutes.

This paper aims to present our one year museum educational project entitled “COMIC TIMELINE: A Heritage Comic Hub” and to outline the importance of creating an educational program based on new approaches and methods, on building synergies and nets with museum and school community, local communities and artists bearing in mind the needs, desires of our target group. Furthermore, it is about transforming a museum into a Heritage Comic Hub with the participation of different kind of experts related to our project and about reforming museum into an intellectual, pleasant and creative interactive cell.
The cooperating bodies such as the Archaeological Museum of Patras, the Department of Cultural Education of Achaia, MITOS, Comicdom Library, Cliomuse and comic artists had formed an annual connective art net, a local cultural network of this annual project that ended with an educational exhibition held for the Celebration of ICOM’s International Museum Day 2016: Museums and Cultural Landscapes at The Archaeological Museum of Patras. Museum used to be isolated space but nowadays its whole philosophy has been redefined. In the museum of the 21st century, the exhibits are part of the visitor’s experience that act as a strong attraction and engagement tool for all students.

Museum used to be an entrenched and isolated dimensional space but nowadays its whole philosophy has been redefined. The revised definition of the International Council of Museums in 1987 is an integrated effort that helps in understanding the nature of the important role and great mission of the modern museum. The new mission of the museum is to use its collections as a tool of knowledge, inspiration and enjoyment. It aims to cause an interactive dialogue with all aspects of life, the past, the present, and the future of the world and its inhabitants. Its new role is to transform to a bond cell between different cultures, avoiding conflicts, devel oping a sustainable world to meet the ever changing needs of the public, coupled with its excellent collections and exploiting new technologies. The penetration of digital technology and the dynamic development of social media have created a new cultural/technological setting that takes into account the needs and desires of the visitors/users and promotes participatory freedom and direct access to cultural goods.

Through this interdisciplinary approach, a critical view is exploited focusing on the effectiveness of utilizing both the option of personal interaction with the visitors/users and the digital technology as a familiar tool of knowledge, inspiration and enjoyment. In the case of a regional museum, it is often observed that, despite the penetration of digital technology, we are equally challenged towards becoming Museum Re-actors in order to stimulate EQ (emotional intelligence) and thus promote participatory freedom and direct access to cultural goods. Sometimes finding the balance feels like the greatest expectation of all.

These territories are defined by both physically marked borders and intangible lines, often invisible in space (symbolic, imaginary, temporal, or epistemological borders). Spatial and intangible borders can be seen from particular, embodied viewpoints, and might be crossed by the gaze and other senses, before being crossed by the body. Border crossing may be successful or unsuccessful and it always offers an occasion for story or narration. The proliferation of narratives connects individual experiences to the larger narratives of nation building and can, thus, be apprehended as a performative renegotiation towards an inclusive citizenship. Border crossing and its narratives are politically defined in public discourse. The reactions coming from different stakeholders, from humanitarian to racist, alert societies to the need to address diversity in an open and democratic way. To this end, narratives are important to influence policy decisions and create a localized cultural response to diversity and equitable service provision.
