Uno cards

For New Zealanders, UNO is an interesting card game that can be played with your family and friends in whenever you want something to spice up your time. It is a deck of 108 cards that can be played among two to ten players without any extra complication. The rules of this game are simple. Each player is dealt seven cards, and the objective is to make sure that at the end of the UNO online game, you have less cards in your hands than the other players.

You can also play NZ UNO online by using your smartphones, PCs, or tablets. The online version of the game is the same as the physical card variant; all you have to do is match the colour or number of the cards on the screen, making sure to beat your opponents while at it.

To familiarise yourself with the cards, we’ll highlight the variations you’ll find in the UNO online deck for New Zealanders below.

Number Cards

Of all the 108 cards in the deck, seventy percent of this is the number cards. These are the cards with the value 0 to 9; they also have four colours: blue, green, red, and yellow. Each colour features 19 cards, with one zero card and two other numbers in the back.

When calculations are done at the end of each round, the number on the card represents the exact value of that card.

For instance: if you have a card with the number 5, the card’s value is 5.

Special Cards UNO Online

Asides from the number cards, there are also some special cards called action or wild cards in NZ. These cards can easily influence the UNO online game and change its trajectory in a heartbeat. They are.

Reverse

This card reverses the direction of the game from left-to-right or right-to-left, depending on what direction the UNO online game was going before the reverse card was played. When a player is going out of cards, this is a great chance to keep them in the game. However, you cannot just play the reverse card unless the face-down card has the same colour as the one on the reverse card.

Skip Card

This symbol is usually represented by a circle with a line through it. Just like the reverse card, it can only be played when the face-down card has the same matching colour as that on the skip card. When this is played, the next New Zealand player loses his or her turn. If it’s a 2-player UNO Online game, when you give someone a skip card, you can immediately continue without interruption.

Draw 2

You will find the +2 symbol on this UNO Online card in New Zealand, which is used for two things. When this card is played, the next player will draw two cards from the pile and also skip their turn like it was a skip card. This card can only be played when the face card is the same colour as the one on Draw 2.

Wild

This is like the ultimate card for UNO online. It allows the user to change the narrative of the game either by colour or number. If the face-down card has a specific colour or number, you can use the Wild card regardless of that.

Wild Draw 4

The Wild Draw Four card is a powerful card that allows you to choose the next color to be played while also forcing the next player to draw four cards from the deck.
