The non-experimental research was performed on a sample of 215 participants, aged between 20 and 35 years, using the MCSDS. Along with the original 33 item scale, a 21 item version and a short 13 item version were tested using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The results showed that both short versions achieved better fit than the original scale, the 13 item one being the most adequate. All three versions proved satisfactory reliability. This research supports the use of the MCSDS short forms in future research requiring the measurement of social desirability.

The following tools were used: the Rational-Experiential Inventory (Paccini & Epstein, 1999); the Intellectual development level questionnaire (Palos, 2009), the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (Rao & Sachs, 1999). The results indicated that the motivational and learning strategies used by students are influenced by their intellectual development level and their information processing style. Knowing the cognitive and motivational variables play an important role in devising the educational experiences and in making learning more efficient.

The previous meta-analysis on school-based SEL programs reported a small but significant effect of SEL on the emotional and behavioral outcomes. We found 33 articles with 37 studies, with 32 742 subjects, comparing an intervention with a control group to assess the effect of SEL program. Results have shown a statistically significant effect size for programs delivering SEL (g = .31). Significant effect sizes were reported for specific outcomes involved in the analysis. Concluding, our meta-analysis supports the previous findings from the scientific literature regarding the impact of SEL programs. Practical implications are discussed.

The non-experimental research was performed on a sample of 230 participants, aged between 20 and 40 years, using the Zuckerman-Kuhlman Personality Questionnaire (ZKPQ) and the Driving Anger Expression Inventory (DAX). The results indicate that driving anger expression can be explained at a rate of approximately 28% by demographic variables (age, gender, mileage and driving frequency) and the AFFM personality factors. The personality factor with topmost explanatory potential was Aggression-Hostility. The results are analyzed in relation to previous research in this field, and directions for further research are suggested.

Objectives of this research are identifying how competitive behavior is perceived in couple relationship, if there are gender differences regarding competitiveness in couple and if there is any link between competitive behavior manifested in couple and self esteem level of partners. Sample group is represented by 30 young couples who are involved in relationships for at least 2 years and who are leaving together. Obtained results distinguished a higher level of competitiveness for women in romantic relationship. This can be a consequence of the attitude women have to adopt in social and professional life, to be integrated in modern world, set of s also reflecting on their relationship. Also, competitive behavior is influenced by self esteem level, being more frequent at the partners with a lower level of self appreciation, as a strategy to reconfirm their value, especially in couple life. Conclusively, competition in romantic life is not a healthy behavior for consolidating the relationship.

The sample: 120 students from the Psychology specialization, within the 18-23 years age group and from various study years. The test portfolio: REI (Paccini & Epstein, 1999); the questionnaire for identifying preferred learning environment and the preference for learning situations (Palo & Maricu oiu, 2006); MSLQ . Through this study we were able to capture some cognitive and motivational variables which can help us design an "instructional model" to valorize the potential of the students.
