The language of animated films varies from other genres and styles, and this divergence from conventional language presents an important sociolinguistic problem. The main reason for the study is an assumption that authors and script writers of animated films use dysphemisms in this specific language style, despite the fact that they should be avoided. The study's methodological foundation is a corpus analysis which deals with three different corpora: the primary corpus – selected contemporary animated films (dating from 2017 to 2020) and the secondary – a) the native language corpus (Corpus of Contemporary American English - COCA), and b) Google search engine. The following goals were pursued in this dysphemism investigation: (1) the selection of animated films for the primary corpus, (2) identification of dysphemisms in the primary corpus, (3) sociolingui...

Using electronic language corpus is a good way of teaching all those other reporting verbs apart from 'say' and 'tell' which have a variety of structures (verb + obj + that, verb + ing, etc) e.g. promise, advise, deny, etc. Giving the students a long list of verbs with structures is only confusing and also very boring. With the help of a corpus, students acquire knowledge and skills in the language they are studying. Corpus linguistics can thus be seen as a learning model where students take responsibility for their own learning. The Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA) currently comprises more than 450 million words of text and is equally divided among spoken, fiction, popular magazines, newspapers, and academic texts. COCA offers a setting of problem-based learning where the students' discoveries and interaction with a corpus give them a learning curve very much triggered by their own activity and motivation. Further, by being exposed to authentic data, students are given a more nuanced encounter with language than traditional grammars are able and are given the opportunity to evaluate data and draw their own conclusions. From a pedagogical point of view it is quite evident that the integration of corpora in language teaching/learning is beneficial to students.

Introducing literature in the language classrooms as well as the benefits of reading it make the introduction lines of this paper. The core of the analysis is presented through the poem of Wilfred Owen, Dulce et Decorum est. This postwar poem with its rich vocabulary is a great tool for a didactic initiation and proposition of EFL literature classroom instruction.

The aims of the study are to explore lexical blends in the English of animated films, and to determine to what extent, if at all, they are used in different corpora. The change within the language is the result of morphological rule-governed creativity, and thus it lends itself to both quantitative and qualitative linguistic analyses. The research presents the identification of blends in animated films and their morpho-semantic analysis. The linguistic items identified in animated films are cross-checked against two sources - the technology-based language tool (COCA) and selected dictionaries of contemporary English. The study reveals that the language of animated films contains lexical blends, and that they are used in corpora to some degree.

A comparative analysis of preferences and lacks of traditional and modern linguistics represent a common view of the progress and the needs of the language. The paper aims to highlight several recent studies of modern linguists in the field of English linguistics such as Chomsky, Sapir, Halliday and Bloomfield as the representative of English speaking grammarians. Modern linguistics, as a set of different variations, raises the question of how and why language changes over time. It possibly may represent the basis for research on contemporary linguistics as a turning point for language change in the future, as well as the impact of society on language, change and universals.

It is the society that does not accept such contradiction united, but does that necessarily mean impossibility of existence mentioned above? Forster's postcollonial interculturalism is a phenomenon in the art of modern writing because it proves a thesis of existing nonexisting and intellectually illogical, but also achievable in this society indeed. Binding two cultures, joining two religions but also their incongruity represent the main points of this work as well as raising awareness of auditorium and deepening interpersonal relations and their mutual understanding and friendship. While deep analysing Forster's A Passage to India we want to set and appoint a base of a completely new kind of interculturalism and also indicate that there's a possibility of tendency and purpose of this novel to be implemented into modern age of humanity.
