Prostor na kojem se planira izgradnja infrasturkturne gra evine: pothodnika i pješa ko-biciklisti... more Prostor na kojem se planira izgradnja infrasturkturne gra evine: pothodnika i pješa ko-biciklisti ke staze ispod željezni ke pruge Sisak-Zagreb, izme u naselja Trokut-Trnsko, doživio je transformacije kroz prostorne planove koji su se njime bavili, te namjene koje su se u praksi dogodile neovisno o tim planovima. Projektni zadatak za krajobrazno ure enje predmetnog prostora bio je uvjetovan gra evinskim projektom novoplanirane infrastrukture, te postoje im dendrofondom lokacije. Projekt krajobraznog ure enja predmetnog prostora proizišao je iz višekriterijalne analize lokacije, uvažavaju i sigurnosne kriterije (usmjeravanje ka sigurnom prelasku željezni ke pruge), oblikovno-ekološke kriterije (prostor parkovnog karaktera oblikovan zelenilom na na in da novoprojektiranim konceptom ostvaruje identitet prostora, stvara mikorklimatski povoljne uvjete, zadržava estice smoga i prašine, doprinosi ukupnom estetskom dojmu mikrolokacije, uz uvažavanje specifi nih uzgojnih zahtjeva novoprojektiranog zelenila i primjerenog održavanja), te sociološke kriterije (akceptiranje i poboljšavanje na ina korištenja analiziranog parkovnog prostora uvelike oblikovanog i kroz privatne inicijative korisnika). This research focuses on morphological aspects of green spaces in 26 fortified European towns and... more This research focuses on morphological aspects of green spaces in 26 fortified European towns and cities. Such spaces are insufficiently acknowledged for the identities they confer and the advantages they provide for inhabitants. They are integral parts of inner urban fringe belts, and they are important both functionally and as attributes of heritage. Important aspects of these green spaces include their place within the system of defences, their various types of past and present utilization, their significance within the urban tissue and the need for their careful conservation.

This article presents 50 gardens of summer villas, developed between the 14th and the late 19th century with the majority of them created during the 15th and 16th century. This research reveals their cultural, historical, architectural, spatial, and ambient value and helps to establish the criteria for their evaluation.
The main research aim of this paper is to determine appropriate and sustainable models of revital... more The main research aim of this paper is to determine appropriate and sustainable models of revitalisation of historic gardens and parks which must respect the gardens' authenticity and inherited identity features, but also allow for contemporary interventions and new facilities. The fundamental criterion for such interventions is to preserve the historical identity and revitalise the former atmosphere while affirming authenticity. The goal is to identify suitable models of revitalisation of gardens and parks. Three different examples are used in this research: (1) gardens of Renaissance summer villas in Dubrovnik (sixteenth to nineteenth century, Southern Adriatic); (2) historicist gardens in Opatija (late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Northern Adriatic); (3) historicist spa gardens (late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Northern Croatia). The models of renewal and revitalisation of the gardens and parks identified and examined are divided into two groups: basic models and thematic models. In relation to basic models, the following models are applicable: conservation, urban planning, architectural, functional, aesthetic and ambient models. Regarding thematic models, the following can be applied: activation, spatial (linear, networked or dispersed), economic, ecological, transformational and participative models. Ljetnikovci i perivojmdoživjeli su preobrazbe i zapustanje. Prikazuju se dvije glavne etape razvoja perivoja - renesansna i romanticarska s historicistickim naznakama. Provedeno je vrjednovanje povijesnih slojeva perivoja kao polazista za obnovu, revitalizaciju i unaprjeđenje.

In most countries of the world where citrus fruits are grown, including Croatia, several viruses ... more In most countries of the world where citrus fruits are grown, including Croatia, several viruses and virus-like agents exist limiting the production and sale of citrus fruits. The most common among them is Citrus tristeza virus (CTV) which causes a decrease in tree fertility and lushness. The aim of this paper is to illustrate the large scale of consequences caused by the CTV in Spain during the 20 th century. More than 44 million citrus trees grafted on sour orange (Citrus aurantim L) rootstock sourhad decayed over a period of 10 years due to the intensing spread of CTV. The approaches that addressed the problem of infection of large citrus growing areas in Spain will be presented. Based on the experience in Spain, this paper will show the possibilities of implementing systematic expert measures which would eradicate or minimize the presence of CTV in the area of the Neretva valley, the most important citrus growing area in Croatia. A large number of researches have been carried out on the presence and the outspread of CTV in the Neretva Valley from 2005 to 2019. During this period, the highest percentage of virus outspread was observed in 2006, when CTV was detected in 80% of the collected samples. The virus was regularly detected in the Neretva valley in all the years the research was conducted. The problem of CTV has been present for many years and the pathogen is still spreading, which indicates the need to take some measures to prevent this continuous spreading. Among the most important and effective measures is the control of viral diseases in the propagation materials and the mother blocks and planting virus-free plants in accordance with the provisions of the Ordinance on placing reproductive planting material and seedlings intended for fruit production on the market
U radu su prikazani rezultati praćenja proizvodnje reznica sorti masline Velike sitnjake, Sitnice... more U radu su prikazani rezultati praćenja proizvodnje reznica sorti masline Velike sitnjake, Sitnice, Uljarice i Kalamate u 2016. godini pod utjecajem tretiranja različitim koncentracijama fitohormona IBA (2000, 3000, 4000 i 5000 ppm) te su uspoređeni s rezultatima dobivenim u 2015. godine za iste sorte. Istraživanja su dio projekta "Identifikacija i gospodarenje gen-fondom maslina na području Dubrovačkoneretvanske županije" i provedena su na Zavodu za mediteranske kulture Sveučilišta u Dubrovniku. Sorta Velika Sitnjaka je 2016. godine imala postotak ožiljavanja od 92,3% s koncentracijom IBA od 4000 ppm. Sitnica je 2015. i 2016. godine najveće potencijale rizogeneze imala također s koncentracijom IBA od 4000 ppm, dok je Uljarica u obje godine najveće postotke ožiljavanja imala s koncentracijom IBA od 2000 ppm. Kalamata je najveće potencijale rizogeneze u obje godine pokazala s koncentracijom IBA od 3000 ppm s istim postotcima ožiljavanja (15%).

Između 1859. i 1867., kada je otok Lokrum bio u vlasništvu austrijskoga nadvojvode i meksičkoga c... more Između 1859. i 1867., kada je otok Lokrum bio u vlasništvu austrijskoga nadvojvode i meksičkoga cara Maksimilijana Habsburga, ispred njegove rezidencije na otoku izvedeno je šetalište inspirirano španjolskim šetalištima, poznatim pod imenom alameda. Istraživanja se temelje na grafičkoj arhivskoj građi i autentičnim troškovnicima radova, koje je potpisao dvorski vrtlar Joseph Laube. Lokrumsko šetalište izvorna je Maksimilijanova zamisao.
