Tomando-a como centro da história, analisamos as condições e as razões profundas que a desencadearam e também as lutas que foram impetradas contra União Soviética tendo em vista não só seu aniquilamento, como a tentativa de eliminar até mesmo a ideia de Revolução. Todavia, a despeito de todos os ataques dos burgueses contra os trabalhadores, os ideais da revolução proletária jamais desaparecerão antes que a propriedade de privada e a sociedade de classes sejam suprimidas. Diante das investidas da burguesia, cada vez mais, a revolução coloca-se como uma necessidade e uma exigência para a sobrevivência, tanto da natureza quanto da humanidade.
In noncentrosymmetric crystals with broken inversion symmetry , the I-V (I: current, V: voltage... more In noncentrosymmetric crystals with broken inversion symmetry , the I-V (I: current, V: voltage) characteristic is generally expected to depend on the direction of I, which is known as nonreciprocal response and, for example, found in p-n junction. However, it is a highly nontrivial issue in translationally invariant systems since the time-reversal symmetry T plays an essential role, where the two states at crystal momenta k and −k are connected in the band structure. Therefore, it has been considered that the external magnetic field (B) or the magnetic order which breaks the T-symmetry is necessary to realize the nonreciprocal I-V characteristics, i.e., magnetochiral anisotropy. Here we theoretically show that the electron correlation in T-broken multi-band systems can induce nonreciprocal I-V characteristics without T-breaking. An analog of Onsager's relation shows that nonreciprocal current response without T-breaking generally requires two effects: dissipation and interactions. By using nonequilibrium Green's functions, we derive general formula of the nonreciprocal response for two-band systems with onsite interaction. The formula is applied to Rice-Mele model, a representative 1D model with inversion breaking, and some candidate materials are discussed. This finding offers a coherent understanding of the origin of nonreciprocal I-V characteristics, and will pave a way to design it.
A long-term fish community monitoring program was established by the Oklahoma Department of Wildl... more A long-term fish community monitoring program was established by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation Streams Program in 2016. One of the primary goals of this program is to evaluate contemporary fish species distributions in Oklahoma and draw inferences regarding changes in those distributions over time. In 2016, fish community surveys took place from late June to early August at a total of 48 sites within the upper Red River basin. Compared to the most comprehensive historical sampling effort within the basin, contemporary surveys detected an additional eight species while three species historically present were not detected in 2016. Multivariate generalized linear model results indicated significant differences in community structure between historical and contemporary surveys. Univariate testing paired with Sum-of-LR analyses revealed differences in community structure were largely driven by increases in generalist fish species (e.g. Green Sunfish and Common Carp) and decreases in small-bodied specialist cyprinids (e.g. Chub Shiner). Although changes in species occurrences may be partially driven by differences in sampling methodology and effort, changes across multiple stream reaches likely reveal real trends.
Awareness of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) has gradually increased in Japan, therefore the chara... more Awareness of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) has gradually increased in Japan, therefore the characteristics of this disease in the Japanese patient population need to be elucidated. This study aimed to investigate the features of EoE in the Japanese population. During a 2-year period, all gastrointestinal endoscopies were performed with maximum attention being paid to identify EoE through endoscopic findings. Clinical features and findings were analyzed among this population. Among a total of 8589 patients (general gastrointestinal endoscopy, performed for evaluation of symptoms or disease follow-up: 3669; medical check-up endoscopy, routinely performed in asymptomatic patients: 4920), 17 patients (0.20%) were diagnosed with esophageal eosinophilia (mean age ± standard deviation: 44±11.9 years; 1 female). Only 6 patients with esophageal eosinophilia were diagnosed by general gastrointestinal endoscopy; among them, 3 patients had dysphagia and 3 were asymptomatic. The remaining 11 patients were diagnosed by medical check-up endoscopy. All patients were treated with a proton pump inhibitor (PPI); 5 were diagnosed with EoE and 12 with PPI responsive esophageal eosinophilia. Chronological endoscopy analysis showed that EoE findings could be observed for a mean of 6.1 years prior to diagnosis, and the disease did not significantly progress in severity. Most Japanese patients with EoE have mild and slowly progressing disease, which can be diagnosed when close attention is paid to the endoscopic findings. Medical check-up endoscopy in Japan could be a great opportunity for the early diagnosis of EoE.

Resumo Diante da crítica sobre a incapacidade da dialogar da esquerda, sobretudo, dos movimentos ... more Resumo Diante da crítica sobre a incapacidade da dialogar da esquerda, sobretudo, dos movimentos sociais, este artigo consiste em uma reflexão teórica sobre a utilização do diálogo como tática do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST) de inserção em setores distintos da sociedade, e como esta tem possibilitado o fortalecimento de alianças e a ampliação de uma rede de atuação com outros sujeitos sociais que defendem sua bandeira prioritária: a reforma agrária. Neste sentido, propõse pensar a terra tanto como um objeto de disputas, como o palco onde acontecem as contestações e negociações das identidades, logo, como um elemento mobilizador em um processo com vistas à transformação social.
