Deborah Singer
Deborah Singer is a Chilean professor of piano at the Escuela de Música of the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica. She held a degree in Music Performance at the Catholic University of Chile and made a postgraduate study in Germany. She obtained a Master degree in Latin American Literature and received a PhD in Studies of Society and Culture, both at the University of Costa Rica. Deborah Singer has published several papers related to music and culture. At the present time she leads an investigation project regarding musical practices in Latin America during Spanish colonial domination.
