What a wonderful experience I had today…

What a wonderful experience I had today with Nick at Hughes electrical today.I actually feel like a valued customer. Nick was a credit to the company.He listened intentively to my problems about my oven delivery and promptly sorted the situation.An upgraded model with a monthly payment plan and fast delivery for my convenience.Nicks a superstar !His customer service was spot on and he acted with such an empathetic attitude,he's a star! I will be baking & delivering 'new years' buns to say thanks to Nick & the Hughes team!Thank you very much.

James saved the day !

James (BSE) branch was so helpful in a desperate situation of no Oven just before Xmas. Two other retail stores failed us to either supply on time or supplied one which was damaged.
James arranged next morning availability and really was super helpful and professional. I will go there in future for all appliances.

The actual ordering process went…

The actual ordering process went smoothly, but the courier stood it on doorstep then walked away down path and waited by the gate, if I’d have been on my own I wouldn’t have been able to lift it indoors 🤦🏼‍♀️

Purchased a Soundbar online and found…

Purchased a Soundbar online and found it not to be suitable and wanted to return it under 14 days. The goods must then be returned at your own expense costing £25. Amazon return is free and easy. I will never buy anything from Hughes Electricals again. Wish I'd check their return policy before purchase.

Great appliances, great experience

Offered appliances are good pictured with all specs. Gratefully Hughes offers removal of old items, transporting new to any desired room, floor and installation. What is not the case by many other sellers.
On chosen dispatch day their email tells 2-3 hours timespan of delivery. New shiny fridge-freezer got manual book and was well protected and carefully placed in the kitchen by brilliant cooperative Arrow delivering company.

online purchase. In store pick up

I recently purchased appliances online from Hughes for pickup, and the process was smooth and efficient. When I arrived at the store, I was assisted by Denial, who was incredibly helpful. He made sure the items were ready and even carried them to my van, which was a huge help. Denial’s professionalism and friendly attitude left a great impression. I highly recommend Hughes for both their online service and excellent in-store support!

Customer Care Team to the rescue!

I have purchased an LG 55" OLED from Hughes in 2020 which at the time came with a 5 year parts and labour warranty. The TV was brilliant but, unfortunately, it developed a panel fault. I contacted Hughes about this issue and they have collected the TV for inspection. I was then told that they will need a new panel to complete the repair but could not provide an ETA, which meant the TV would be out for repair for a considerable length of time (and over the Christmas period). I have contacted the Customer Care team to explain the situation and they promptly offered a replacement unit up to the value of the original TV price. Well done Hughes Electrical!

Good customer service

Ordered a cooker online but it was damaged in transit so we had to reject it. I emailed Hughes and they replied that same evening - 7.40pm which I was impressed with. They apologised and offered me an alternative as the cooker was now out of stock. I selected another cooker which isn't available until January but they informed me immediately and asked if I wanted to wait, choose an alternative or have a refund. Every person I dealt with either via email or on the phone was professional and polite.

Perfect service

I didn't get the names of the delivery men who dropped off my appliance, but I wish I did so I could thank them by name. I wish I could let their management know just how absolutely helpful they were. People like them don't often get the recognition they deserve. Completely professional and respectful and EXTREMELY helpful throughout the whole process. I really hope this gets back to them. Brilliant service. 5 stars.

My order came with a dent on it.

My order came with a dent on it. I could not return it because I have already bought large amount of perishable goods for Christmas before I saw it.
It looks like it was already returned by another customer due to the dent, because the cable was not well arranged at the back.
My only luck is that it is still functioning.
I wish I can upload a picture.

Thank you for all the help you have…

Thank you for all the help you have given me. I actually purchased the TV for someone else. Unfortunately when we opened it the screen was slightly cracked. I had arranged a replacement/refund with your online people. But again unfortunately, the person I purchased it for had tripped over it, stood on the screen and totally destroyed it while she was so drunk she couldn’t see. As I said, thank you for all your help. But once again unfortunately, some people are beyond help. Sorry to rant none of this put Hughes at fault in any way.

Made another purchase at Hughes. As before, great prices in a shop, where You can actually look and touch. Shop assistants so helpful, they actually loaded dishwasher to our car!

Good service from start to finish

Good service from start to finish. Only downside was delivery company didn't phone 30 mins before arriving, phoned outside the door so had to dive home as quick as I could or reschedule which I couldn't do.

Dealing with Hughes though went really well.

Excellent service

Excellent service, item dispatched promptly and delivered efficiently with a smile. I had to return the item because it was the wrong colour but this was dealt with straight away and I received the replacement within a couple of days. I spoke to a lovely member of staff at the customer service call centre, I have Parkinsons disease so she very kindly helped me with organising the return. Quality service. Thank you.

We received great customer service

We received great customer service from Hughes. After buying a new cooker which developed a fault within weeks, we had a long battle with the manufacturers and warranty company to get it repaired. When the case was eventually resolved with them, Hughes stepped in and a replacement cooker was delivered and installed in 5 days. Thankfully our Christmas dinner is now back on the agenda!

Can he do the rest of my Christmas shopping?

Visited the Bury St Edmunds branch this week to ask about Tvs for movies and spoke to Luke the manager there... great help! I had some 'brain scratcher' questions and he was able to answer it like it was simple AND go through some extras I never thought of . I don't usually go by in person shops recently and usually go online nowadays but little details and touches he was able to mention stood out. IPS vs VA panels and FRC vs 10 bit panels and more helped make a choice when I was spending a 'fair bit'. Oled seems like th way to go. Fingers crossed that it looks like it should in my living room.
If a right honourable Mr/Mrs/Ms Hughes still makes Hughes a 'Hughes' company then I would like to say thanks to them hiring people like this and putting them out there. Best of luck for the new baby Luke. Hope the telly lasts as long as the last one.
