In 2020, about a quarter of the world's food trade comes from halal food sector, amounting to approximately USD 2 trillion. Over the past few decades, research on halal food has primarily focused on the demand side of the market economy, especially customer needs and satisfaction. Recently, researchers have begun to shift their attention to the supply side of the halal food industry, particularly exploring issues on halal integrity. Studies have revealed that the transportation and transiting sector poses a higher risk compared to manufacturing in establishing halal integrity assurance on halal products. This article analyses the factors that lead to halal integrity issues in the halal supply chain ecosystem based on the latest statistics, press releases, industrial reports, and recent research articles. The discussion concludes with some recommendations for improvement from the perspective of freight forwarders are provided. Along with other stakeholders, freight forwarding services play a crucial role in the supply chain ecosystem, acting as customers' brokers, assisting in forwarding and clearing cargo. In the post-COVID-19 context, the need to re-evaluate and enhance the efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability of the ecosystem is crucial due to the current global GDP shrinkage and trade wars across countries. Halal supply chain services are eco-friendly, preferred by customers, and producing higher gross social welfare, but these benefits come along with higher production costs compared to conventional supply chain services. Hence, policy incentives, along with other sustainability strategies, are fundamental for the development and advancement of the halal supply chain ecosystem.

Although virtual tours are increasingly viewed as a potential innovative marketing tool to attract tourists worldwide, empirical research in this area is rather limited. The study examines consumers’ affective appraisals of 360-degree video virtual tours of tourism destinations. A qualitative content analysis was employed in which YouTube’s 360-degree guided virtual tour video with 90 comments of 1,087 total words was analyzed. Using the Voyant Tool software, the study found that viewers generally have a positive sentiment toward the 360-degree guided virtual video tourism destination. This positive sentiment indicates the potential success of 360-degree video-guided virtual tourism destinations in providing a satisfying and immersive experience for the audience. Practically, the study offers valuable insights for destination marketing organizations to leverage on a 360-degree guided virtual tour video. Theoretically, the study contributes to the virtual tourism literature by extending the application of affective appraisal theory to the destination marketing domain. Further empirical work is suggested to validate and support the current study’s findings.

Since the nature of jobs in the hotel industry that is characterized by low pay, long working hours, heavy workloads and inconvenient working schedules can affect the frontline employees' job performance, knowledge on factors influencing their service recovery performance is crucial. Though many studies on service recovery performance have been carried out in the context of developed countries, little research addressing this issue has been carried out in developing countries. Moreover, studies investigating the role of empowerment, rewards and training in influencing service recovery performance among frontline hotel employees are scarce. Therefore, the present study aims to examine the influence of empowerment, rewards and training on service recovery performance among 4-star and 5-star hotels employees in Malaysia. The data was obtained from the 313 frontline hotel employees throughout Malaysia and analyzed using structural equation modeling-partial least square (SEM-PLS) approach. The results showed that empowerment, rewards and training have a significant positive influence on service recovery performance. The findings indicated that service recovery performance can be enhanced by the proper practice of employee empowerment, establish appropriate employee rewards scheme and provide relevant training. Theoretically, the findings contribute to the existing body of knowledge by confirming the applicability of the social exchange theory for human resource management in the context of the service industry. Practically, it provides insight to hoteliers about the need to administer appropriate practice of empowerment, establishing competitive rewards system and provide training for career advancement.

Two dimensions of hotel booking website features that influence users' online booking experience were proposed: utilitarian features, and hedonic features. A selfreport questionnaire was distributed as data collection and data analysis was done with Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). A total number of 260 respondents indicated that both website utilitarian and hedonic features significantly affect users' e-satisfaction and e-loyalty. Data analysis also indicates that e-satisfaction influences e-loyalty indicating online hotel booking users are more likely to revisit and repurchase hotel products and services especially if, through hotel online booking experience, able to attain selected utilitarian and hedonic features.

The factors identified in the study were traffic reduction, advantage of LRT, and attitude. This study used a questionnaire to gather the survey data. The convenience sampling technique was utilised in the study. SmartPLS Version 3 was used to test the hypotheses. The results of the study showed that traffic reduction, advantages of LRT and attitude have a positive influence towards the LRT usage. These significant variables can be used as a guide for the LRT operators to increase the LRT usage. Future research is suggested to include other potential factors that could stimulate more LRT usage and for it to become the preferred mode choice for travelling amongst the users.

Most businesses today use the internet as a means of communicating with their customers. This is because the internet has various interactive features and is always available for use. However, when there are too many interactive features to use, it can make the site more complex, less useful, and users find it difficult to use. Referring to an overview of past literature, the article generally proposes a conceptual framework with six propositions to understand the role of brand image, perceived trust and perceived risk of online buying intentions among hotel website users. As a basic theory, Stimulus Organizational Stimulation (SOR) has been used to support the proposed framework in this study. As a result, the researcher argues that brand image has an impact on the perceived risk and perceived trust of the hotel website.
