It is shown in this study that most of the Muslim farmers' crops in Glagahagung village are sold ... more It is shown in this study that most of the Muslim farmers' crops in Glagahagung village are sold to the middlemen. Therefore, the this study aims to find out the reasons of the Muslim farmers sell their crops to the middlemen and to know the trading practice done by the middlemen. This study is a case study with descriptive qualitative approach. This study discovered several reasons of the Muslim farmers in Glagahagung village selling their crops to the middlemen, they are: 1) the place is close to the rice field, 2) the whole crops can only be bought by the middlemen, 3) the farmers are accustomed to sell their crops tho the middlemen, 4) the middlemen is the only buyer of the farmers' crops, 5) the middlemen ease the selling of the crops, and 6) the middlemen provide workers to harvest the crops. Those reasons demonstrate that the middlemen is perceived as something that can give advantage to the Muslim farmers in Glagahagung village. Nevertheless, though giving advantages, there are some middlemen who contravene the Islamic business norms in crops trading with the Muslim farmers in Glagahagung village.

In Indonesia, waqf has been developed by state institution named Badan Waqf Indonesia (BWI). With great potential of Waqf in Indonesia, which is 4,2 million m, it is expected could help the welfare condition of people in Indonesia. In fact, there are various problems that have made the development of Waqf in Indonesia lacks in many ways, even among the Islamic economic instruments ZISWAF (Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, Waqf), waqf development is still considered deficient. This study uses method of literature review which is taken from literature source, in the form of books, journals, and websites related to waqf issues in Indonesia.This study is purposed to describe the development and issued related to Waqf in Indonesia as the comparison with Waqf system in ASEAN countries in particular and with the whole countries in world in general. Besides, it discovers the solutions to expand the potential use of Waqf in Indonesia.
Having a decent education is one of rights that ever single citizen of Indonesia has as stated in... more Having a decent education is one of rights that ever single citizen of Indonesia has as stated in paragraph four of the Introduction of Act 1945 of Republik Indonesia. However, what actually happened in Indonesia does not reflect the Act. Many of citizens cannot pursue the right of decent education, particularly for college education. The college tuition that comparatively higher than income of most parent becomes the factor of why high school-graduated students must be willing not to continue their education for college. On other hand, number of college-graduated students who fails to get proper job is increasing. It is hard to imagine how the high school-graduated students would get job, and knowing that MEA is coming resulted instricter competition in getting proper jobs. It is the time for government to take action in giving solution for high-school graduated people to get their right to pursue higher education. One of tuition solutions that high school-graduated students may have is personal loan or known by other term, which is student loan. Student loan has been implemented in many developed and developing countries. But, terminology word of personal loans is rather uncommon for college students, and even it is still rare to found in government areas or any Public Banks. This study uses method of literature review which is taken from literature source, in the form of books, journals, and websites related to student loan issues in Indonesia. This study has significance to give a description for government in giving tuition solution for college students in Indonesia.
