Such short-term courses are indicated in the absence of exacerbation of the basic and associated diseases under domination of the radicular and reflex syndromes. High efficacy and good tolerance of the treatment are confirmed by vertebroneurological investigations and functional diagnostic tests.

Administration of physiobalneoprocedures in the period between acrophase and batiphase brings normalization of biorhythms. If the procedures were given in the peak phase, the normalization was not achieved. Moreover, the biorhythms got worse in 75% of the patients. To optimize the regimen of physiobalneoprocedures in patients with neurological manifestations of spinal osteochondrosis it is valid to study diurnal pattern of CIG and administration of physiotherapeutic procedures in the time of change of the diurnal rhythm phases.

Incubation of RASMC in ischemic conditions resulted in ∼3-fold elevation of [Na+]i and 2-fold reduction of [K+]i. Using global gene expression profiling we found that Na+,K+-ATPase inhibition by ouabain or K+-free medium in rat aortic vascular smooth muscle cells (RASMC) led to the differential expression of dozens of genes whose altered expression was previously detected in cells subjected to hypoxia and ischemia/reperfusion. For further investigations, we selected Cyp1a1, Fos, Atf3, Klf10, Ptgs2, Nr4a1, Per2 and Hes1, i.e. genes possessing the highest increments of expression under sustained Na+,K+-ATPase inhibition and whose implication in the pathogenesis of hypoxia was proved in previous studies. In ouabain-treated RASMC, low-Na+, high-K+ medium abolished amplification of the [Na+]i/[K+...

It was found that sodium nitroprusside and nitroglycerin produced a dose-dependent membrane repolarization and smooth muscle cell relaxation in rat aorta preliminarily contracted and depolarized by hyperpotassium (40 mM) or phenylephrine solutions. The relaxation effect of sodium nitroprusside was more pronounced on the phenylephrine background. The effect of nitroglycerin showed a different kinetics in time and led to the tolerance development. The effects of both nitro compounds were inhibited by pretreatment with Methylene Blue or potassium channel blockers. It is suggested that nitro vasodilators are involved in the NO-dependent processes in smooth muscle cells of aorta through cGMP-mediated activation of the potassium conductivity and by changing the efficiency of operation of the protein kinase C branch of the Ca2+ signal system.

The epithelium-dependent pathway of the bronchodilating action of catecholamines, which played a minor role was found to become decisive in some cases. In that case the epithelial inflammatory lesion could be a cause of reducing the response of the bronchi to catecholamines.

Away of its signaling functions. NO is considered as one of the key molecules in maintenance of balance between the physiological and pathological processes due to cytoprotective and cytotoxic functions of this molecule. In this regard, elucidation of the NO-dependent mechanisms, involved into the physiological processes and pathophysiological reactions, remains an urgent problem of conntemporary biology and medicine. Analysis of obtained results establishes a relative contribution of electro- and pharmaco-mechanical coupling mechanisms in NO-dependent regulation of smooth muscle cels (SMC) functions. The authors show that elevation of intracellular Ca2+ concentration by biologically active substances promotes relaxing effect of NO through both voltage-dependent and -independent intracellular mechanisms of calcium redistributi...

In the review features humoral regulation contractile activity of smooth muscles of vessels of a small circle of blood circulation, a role of endocellular alarm systems in these mechanisms, and endothelium, as the local modulator endocrine functions are considered. Disgusting muscles of a small circle are distinguished from the main vessels of the big circle of blood circulation with predisposition to the raised mechanical pressure. In spite of the fact that endothelium renders modulating relaxe influence on contractile answers of smooth muscles of vessels of a venous and arterial small circle of blood circulation at action corresponding vasoconstriction, pulmonary veins ...

Sensitization of ovalbumin animals results in development of hypersensitivity to inhalation of the fiber with external attributes of infringement of bronchial passableness such as cough and a shortness of breath. Morphologically the process is accompanied by destruction of epithelium of the bronchial tubes, development of an immune inflammation in a bronchial wall, and a hypertrophy of the muscular layer. In the sensitized animals, development of hyper-responsiveness of the airways smooth muscles to histamine was obvious as shown in a significant decrease of the threshold concentration and an increase in the maximal amplitude of reduction. Interleukin-5 was shown to strengthen this process. Responses to holinergic and R2-adrenerdic influences practically did not change. The data obtained corroborate the hypo...

Influence of exogenous nitroso-glutatyon on intensity of oxidizing processes in smooth muscles of... more Influence of exogenous nitroso-glutatyon on intensity of oxidizing processes in smooth muscles of colon and bronchial tubes in intact and atopic sensitised porpoises (guinea pigs) was studied. In sensitised porpoises, antioxidant protection has been initially reduced against the background of increased maintenance of products of oxidizing that reflects a picture of oxidizing damage and can be associated with an inflammatory process. In incubation with nitroso-glutatyon, a decrease in activities of syperoxiddismutase and catalase is marked and, in sensitised animals, this effect has been expressed to a lesser degree. Syperoxiddismutase and catalase are antioxidant for the enzymes participating in protection of cells from free-radical damage. A dose-dependence decrease in activity catalase and syperoxiddismutase is defined by a parity of the enzymes participating in disintegration of nitrosoglutatyon and the enzymes which have kept antioxidant activity.

A special feature in the cholinergic relaxation of smooth muscles of a pulmonary artery is a two-componential character of the dose dependence. The low-threshold component of the relaxant action of pilocarpine exhibits the endothelium-dependent character. An important feature of the contractile reaction to histaminergic action is a direct contractile effect of histamine, which is not observed in vessels of the greater circulation circle. Endothelium produces an inhibiting effect on the histaminergic contractility. The basic feature in the response to adrenergic action is the beta-adrenergic contractility effect. Activation of the cAMP-dependent alarm system...

Mechanography was used to study contractile reaction of airway smooth muscles in experimental bro... more Mechanography was used to study contractile reaction of airway smooth muscles in experimental bronchial asthma in intact guinea-pigs and those incubated with IL-5. Development of experimental bronchial asthma (BA) in the animals leads to enhancement of contractile reactions of bronchial smooth muscles in response to histamine action. The exposure to IL-5 of the preparations of bronchial smooth muscles increases histamine-mediated bronchial contractility. This may explain the phenomenon of IL-5-mediated bronchial hyperreactivity in the absence of eosinophilic damage to the tissues. Expression of mRNA of IL-5 receptor alpha-chain suggests that development of IL-5-mediated hypersensitivity of bronchial smooth muscles occurs due to the presence of a relevant IL-5 receptor on their surface.

The involvement of cAMP- and cGMP-dependent signal systems into the regulation of the contractile... more The involvement of cAMP- and cGMP-dependent signal systems into the regulation of the contractile reaction of smooth muscles of the rabbit pulmonary arteries was studied using a mechanographic method. For modulation of intracellular level of cyclic nucleotides we used adenylate cyclase activators beta-adrenoceptor agonist isadrin, guanylate cyclase inhibitor methylene blue, penetrating analog dibutyryl-cAMP, and phosphodiesterase inhibitors. The mechanisms of cAMP- and cGMP-dependent regulation of smooth muscle contractile activity were realized in close interrelationship, and the key component of this was cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases. The ratio of activities of phosphodiesterase subtypes in smooth-muscle cells can essentially modulate the adrenergic effects in the pulmonary artery wall and even invert them.

The most difficult is the movement, when there is no interaction with the support. The decrease impulses from the vestibular apparatus is offset by increased the impact of the second type of postural reflexes - tonic neck reflex that activate muscle spindles neck muscles. The formation of coordination abilities in such conditions It occurs most difficult and requires special approaches, including based training with biofeedback.
