Norah here has a natural tendency towards putting her arms up, that’s why I have swaddled her with her arms tucked in closer to her face. If your baby is more relaxed with their arms by their sides, that’s where they should stay when you swaddle them.  No one is born with the ability to swaddle effectively, it takes lots of practice. Tight and tucked is best.
