The Humpback Anglerfish (Melanocetus johnsonii) lives in darkness, up to 4,000 m under the sea surface. With his glowing bait lures small fishes and snaps lightning-fast. The female deep sea anglerfish are 77 cm long, while the males are just 16 cm long and they live as tiny parasites attached to the female's body eating tiny pieces of food from the female. Tiny bioluminescent bacteria are trapped in a small glowing ball on the top of the stick.
