Clean and simple birthday cards

My time with my visitors is going really well, but while they popped out on a little dog walk I took the opportunity to make a card for day 6 of Clean and Simple Card Making. The theme today is simple

Even though my cards all almost all Clean and Simple, I rarely make a one-layer card. But, I made one last week:) I stamped the flowers with a stamp from the dollar bin at Michael's. (It had a sentiment on it, but I cut it apart so I can use them separately.) I stamped the sentiment (from Papertrey Ink's Birthday Basics) over the stems. I just couldn't resist! I used the leftovers from the card I posted four days ago, and made a simply designed birthday card... I had used striped paper strips to make a background for my card four days ago. There were a couple inches of stripes left, so I got out my much loved Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday die and die cut the sentiment from the rainbow striped paper.
