"I love scrapbook paper. It can be used in so many different ways to transform something boring into something extraordinary. Scrapbook paper is relatively cheap and there are some many different options to choose from.  I bought this pack of 24 sheets for under R 100, and I abSoooLutely love the soft neutral colors and beautiful patterns. It just oozes shabby chic. Soft, lady-like with pops of pastel pink and time-worn hints of days gone by".... Read more

Tutorial - How to Make Paper Bells with Newspaper

http://vsomayaji.blogspot.in/2015/09/news-paper-crafts-paper-bells.html
Paint bells with colors of your choice and hang

Tutorial at The Sunshine Corner Blog

"What I am sharing today is not something new, many people have done it before. Here is the tutorial on paper bells. Don't go by the number of steps, they are simple to do.  Firstly begin with making sticks/reeds from the newspaper. This is bit tough for beginners and you may get sticks of varying sizes initially. But practice makes man perfect. I learnt finally to make uniform and thin reeds. My learning tip here would be don't stop in between. Finish doing your reeds all at once. Make 4 vertical strips out of one sheet of news paper. Begin rolling at one corner of the paper".... Read more

Tutorial - Make Donut Stickers with Labels

http://shadesoftangerine.blogspot.com/2016/01/donut-sticker-diy.html
Cute stickers that are fun to make

Tutorial at Shades of Tangerine Blog

"I really enjoy a good donut.  I even enjoy a not-so-good gas station donut.  I'm not picky.  I think about them often, especially at work because donuts happen to be a frequent visitor in the staff lounge.  Since I stopped eating gluten, this has become distressing for me.  Seriously, I don't know who keeps bringing them but you need to stop. Do these reinforcement labels ever conjure up the image of donuts for you?  No? Is it just me?  I've always entertained the idea of sketching some pink frosting and a scattering of sprinkles on them, and today I did just that!  Now, donut stickers aren't as good as the real thing buuuut they're gluten free and super cute, so that's a win".... Tutorial - Wall Decor from Recycled Cardboard Rolls

http://www.cutesimplestuff.com/?p=1065
Affordable seasonal decor

Tutorial at Cute Simple Stuff Blog

"When it comes to seasons my favorites are fall and winter, definitely. I´m a colder weather instead of a warm weather all the way. To me, there is nothing better than fall and winter weather, with the warm clothing, the hot drinks, Christmas lights and the smell, the feels, in general, the feels.  Now for this DIY a friend sent me this cropped photo or this cool idea. It´s a different concept but when I saw it I thought: wow, what a clever and fun way of upcycling this kind of items. So I wanted to give the concept a try, with my own spin on it".... Read more

Tutorial - How to Make Gift Bags Inexpensively

http://www.boreidesign.com/2015/11/how-to-make-gazillion-and-one-gift-bags.html
Decorate bags as much or as little as you like

Tutorial at Borei Design Blog

"From one, $1 roll of brown craft wrapping paper I made ornament gift bags for my husband's entire family and had plenty left over.  It's also a great way reuse/recycle old wrapping paper, magazines, newspapers and etc. Once you learn the basic folding construction of a gift bag it is a total game changer.  You will need to start by cutting your selected paper (news, wrapping or whatever you choose to use) into a rectangle. For this tutorial my rectangle measured 10 inches wide x 15 inches high.  This measurement will make the odd size bag (that I needed) but it is a good size to use to learn the folding process".... Tutorial - Make Kraft Paper Flowers and Leaves

http://www.handsonworkshop.com.au/hack-fast-kraft-flowers-and-leaves/
Use to wrap gifts, as centerpieces, place settings, etc.

Tutorial at Hands On Workshop Blog

"I discovered this short cut to making kraft paper flowers and leaves. Instead of using kraft paper in sheets, I used paper gardening twine from Bunnings (Australia’s big box hardware store).  The bio-degradable twine is used to tie a plant to a stake. It also flattens out to about 10cm wide and looks like crumpled kraft paper. Creating the leaves is dead easy and they only need a bit of minor trimming. For the flowers, I just played around with creating petals and the flower centre".... Read more
