Mum 70 - Part 8

And here is the very last page for my Mum's Birthday card and the letter Y as in SEVENTY and its Gladys Winterbottom, coloured in Promarkers and glossy accents on her glasses.

I cut the number 70 from card and then covered with some really ancient papers from my stash - Papermania - Retro Floral 12x12 papers which I've pieced together so I can use as much as I can.  Edges dotted with liquid pearls.  The smaller letter Y is also covered with papers from the same collection.  I've handwritten the vellum tag and created a bow with some paper ribbon.

Daring Card Makers Challenge - Cactus!

It's time for a new Daring Card Makers challenge and the theme for this week is

Cactus

I've used a Little Miss Muffet stamp and coloured it with Promarkers plus coloured pencils for the background.  Papers are Papermania Secret Garden which I've had for donkeys in my stash and this is the first time I've opened the pack.... shame on me!!

I've used the offcut from layering the paper onto the card blank across the centre of the card, and used kraft card for layering.  Two brads from my stash (again had them for ages and need to get them used!) and finally a running stitch with a black fine liner pen.  Good luck with the challenge!

Retirement - Part 3

Here is the third page in the retirement card I made for a work colleague.  His last day was Friday and although I wasn't in work that day I've been told by quite a few people that he loved the card and I also got a lovely email to say the same.

This page features Crouching Tiger Hidden Dunderton from Dr Digi and I've coloured him with Promarkers plus a computer generated sentiment and papers from a Papermania 6x6 stack - For Him.

It was easier to take the photos of each individual page rather than when they were joined together with metal rings!

Good luck with the challenge.  I'd like to enter the following:

Crimbo Crackers Challenge 130 - Bells

Time for a new Crimbo Crackers challenge and the theme for the fortnight is

Bells

I've used a felt reindeer which was originally a tree decoration and added a little gold jingle bell to his antler.  Papers are Papermania - A Wonderful Christmas Time 6x6 stack and I've layered the center panel onto gold card from my stash.  Added a button and bakers twine and the sentiment has been cut with a combination of Clearly Besotted dies and Sizzix.

To be honest, all the elements on the card I've had for quite some time!

Daring Card Makers Guest Designer - Inspiration Photo

There is a new challenge over at Daring Card Makers and I'm also the Guest Designer for March!  Rather pleased to be asked to do another month!  As it's the first challenge of the month, there is an inspiration photo that at least 3 elements needs to be incorporated into your creation.

I've gone for stripes, black and white, kraft colour and circles.  So more than 3 achieved!  I had A Big Tidy Up and Clear Out just before Christmas and found I had a rather large 12x12 paper pack that has only had light use - Papermania Clare Curd Signature range.  So the stripy paper has come from that plus kraft card from my stash and an offcut of white card.

The card candi is also from my stash (found also during the tidy up) plus half pearls.  I made the sentiment myself (rather pleased with it too!) on Pic Monkey - saved it as a jpeg so it can be used again.  I used an X Cut square die to cut out the sentiment and then freehand layered it.

The inspiration photo is below.

Good luck with the challenge - lots of inspiration on the blog - amazing to see all the different interpretations!  I'd like to enter the following:
