Challenge Postponed during Shop Maintenance

Hi everyone,
We are going to push the weekly challenge back a week due to shop maintenance. The shop is still up and running, but we are in the middle of switching things around and it isn't quite complete, and since I am not sure what to expect for the next 48 hours, I am giving us a nice long cushion in case something else should pop up. LOL

Please be patient with us while we work on things, but we will be back to challenges in a week with some really lovely cards....can't wait to share. :)

XOXO
Christy

Challenge #54 - Simplify! - Create a one-layered card

Merry Tuesday, our Tiddly fans. :) We are celebrating "crafting with a twist" for the month of June and we really twisted it this week---we have to Simplify!! Ohhh, no----scary simple cards!!! LOL

So as hard as it might be (ask our devoted and lovely DT members....LOL), please create a one-layer card (ribbon or twine is okay). Our Tiddly Inkers DT knocked it out of the park with fancy borders and adorable layouts (and a few tiny little raised bits---we will be having a loose definition of one-layer this week I think LOL).

I hope you get inspired and join in with as flat-as-you-can-make-it-----emphasis on the one-layer----simplified card this week.

Take a peek before you 'flatten' us with your creativity. :)
Jen using Fairy Fae Catches a Star

Stephanie (...who drew her own park background :D) using Tree Hugger and Walk the Dogs
Be sure to check out Stephanie's blog as she has some great tips and tutorials on this process. :)

Marlena using Awww Thanks and her own creative border
Lou got really inspired and made 3 cute little note cards using some of TI's Colored Art: Chemical Love, Anything But Typical, and Flower Blooms

Barbara using most of the Bumble Bears, Handwritten Sentiment, and Whaz Up or Down
(this is why I love digis---you can combine 5 images in any size and combination that you want--LOVE IT!)

Donna using Love Hurts

Larissa using Poppy Accents and Awww Thanks

Caz using You are Unique Rubber Stamp
(available from Stamping Bella)

If you want to create your own flat note cards like this,
Christy has some directions and a template on her blog. :)

Remember that a one-layer card doesn't have to fall flat (had enough flat jokes yet???): Get creative with those borders and simple accent pieces...fun, fun, fun but not flat, flat, flat!! :)
