#BlackLivesMatter. #GeorgeFloyd's life mattered. #AhmaudAubrey's life mattered. #TamirRice's life mattered. #MichaelBrown's life mattered.

White people, we need to stop turning blind eyes to this, stop pretending that it's "bad apples" in the police. We need to stand with our black friends, neighbours, colleagues, coworkers, classmates, and yes, even strangers.

But we also need to make a conscious decision to not make this about us. It's not about us. This about the countless black lives that have been cut short.
